Gilgamesh had extreme difficulty beating Necrophobia, who was one of Exdeath's servants. I mean, if one of Exdeath's lackeys can finish Gilgamesh, I'm sure Exdeath could just as easily.
However... I found Necrophobe to be almost as hard as Ex-Death himself. And Gilgamesh DID beat Necrobhobe. Without the power of Void it's too close to make a decision for me.Quote:

Gilgamesh is like Ultros...runs away and lives to fight another day. I've yet to beat FFV, but Ultros outlives Kefka, so using that comparison, Gilgy could outlive Exdeath using his trixy running away tactics.

In any case... Exdeath can cast Fire3 for 9999 damage. Gilgamesh can use... the Excalipur. It's no contest.
