Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against the Machine)
The voice of the most politically charged band in our generation.

I dont like most of Eminem's songs, but Lose Yourself is pretty good, and for that, I'll vote for him. I like that song because its talkin about his personal struggles of being a star and yet being so spiritually depraved at the same time- good message, and it'd be even better if he didnt cuss in it. However, I still enjoy listening to the song.

Mike Shinoda isn't white.

I'll go with the Beastie Boys.

Mike Shinoda is Japanese/Russian in ethnicity. So, technically, he's half-white.

What about M-Buster, Teksus Rainja, and their Wutai Clan?

Bah, where's Sole? And to a lesser degree, Eyedea? Not that anybody here's probably heard of them, but they are the best (white) rappers.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with Da Teksus Rainja.

For me, it'd have to be Joe "Violent J" Bruce of the ICP.

I'll just say Everlast, because I really love "What It's Like" by him.

Oh yeah, and Mike Shinoda killed Linkin Park. They weren't bad before he started being the rap nazi (the first album was great because he was barely rapping) and killing the rest of the albums.

I chose Vanilla Ice, mainly because of "Ice, Ice Baby" you can hate the song to death, but the fact remains, it sold over 3 million copies.
I personally don't like Vanilla Ice, but he's one of the best sellin' rappers of the 90's.

The only rap songs I've ever liked came from Eminem.

But I voted for Snow, because a white Canadian guy rapping utter nonsense in a raggae accent is clearly a sign of the apocalypse.

Vanilla Ice makes me laugh more than any of the others, so I choose him.

M & M[s]. He has some nice raps with some cute ditties as the chorus.

Emeinem is the best rapper IMO. I love his raps and they sound good. He's the best rapper IMO.

Did you hear Jim Carrey's parody of that song on the classic series, "In Living Color?" That was funny as hell. Especially the part where he did an impression of Popeye.

I don't think he's the best rapper ever, but he showed up at one of my parties last year. I think he's back in jail right now though, because his website expired. :p

It'd be Mike from LP if Eminem wouldn't be on the poll, but he is so it's Eminem! He's really godd making rap, 'Like toy soldiers' is very good, 'Lose urself' is a bit annoying'...

I think I dislike every band/rapper on that list, except the Beatie Boys.

Linkin Park aren't that bad, but I don't like the rapping aspect of their music.

Never, EVER liked Snow, even when I was a kid - Informer?? WTF??

The only song I ever listened to by Everlast was "What Its Like", but that's not even rap, its actually a nice acoustic tune.

I don't think I'd classify Rage as rap, IMO (unless the singer has gone on to do his own rapping thing). That's like classifying Anthony Keidis of the Chili Peppers (greatest band ever) as a rapper (think of his lyrics in Give It Away), but that just is not right.

Just my 2 cents.........but I'm usually very opinionated when it comes to my thoughts on music. :p

If you base it on album sales, Eminem wins.

But I won't...so Eminem wins. Really though, rap is mostly about re-telling a life from the ghetto, which is why Eminem wins over so many of these other white rappers. I'm not the biggest fan of Eminem, but he does have the most talent out of any of these other rappers.

Besides, Eminem can wrap too.

Eminem is definitely the better out of the list. Better than most mainstream bull crap, I still don't like him though, not my style.

I was unsure what the definition of 'white' was, one of the greatest ever, Slug of Atmosphere is mixed-race with a white complexion, if that qualifies, he'd be 1.

I was a Beastie Girl in high school. I still adore them, they're wonderful. Their older stuff mostly, but I love them.
