Yeah I heard about that. I like to think it's going to be the fourth Chrono game.
Code Age, I think.
I'd be very very happy if that were the case.Quote:

Probably some DW/FF crossover thing...KH style or something.
They already did that, with the Itadaki Street series. It was called Itadaki Street Special.
OMG I can't believe Square's doing this. They've totally sold out. ANOTHER RPG? What, is it gonna be on a CONSOLE? This is such B***S***! It's ALL Enix's fault! Square was good before Enix RUINED EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE!!!!1 Thanks a LOT guys for completely forgetting your fans (WHO MADE YOU!!!) and your roots (OTHER RPGS!!!!)!!!!!11111
....On second though, you may not want to ask me for my thoughts. I give sarcastic answers a lot. :D
My sentiments exactly.Quote:

Brownie Brown has already announced a Seiken Densetsu game for the DS, so probably not.
Chrono > FF
I would die happily if I could do so after playing a new Chrono game.
I dont see why the europeans wouldnt get it, it might even lead to europe getting the old ones.
This make me feel all happy in pants.
And the winner is.... Grandia III.
I hope it is another chrono game. Maybe the Dream Team will be back in full force?
Yeah, once the news comes out, hopefully soon, I'd like to be the first to post it on the front site. Not sure what it's going to be.
EDIT: Uh oh, you think this is it? http://rpgamer.com/news/Q1-2005/033005a.html
Boo for Grandia III!
I'm crushed. Like a blow to the larynx crushed. Well, sort of.
They must have seriously overestimated Grandia's popularity if they thought this was a major announcement.
Grandia... Hmm, interesting... Or not.
XD what a kick in the balls
It's porbably that DW/FF crossover RPG about. I think it's caled "Something Street Special"
Itadaki Street Special was announced like sometime in 2003 and was released in Japan late last year. It's in the past. And if a domestic release were their announcement, it'd be even more of an overestimation since no one outside of Japan cares about the Itadaki Street games, and even the FF+DQ element wouldn't sell much since there aren't many more Dragon Quest fans than there are Grandia fans.Quote:

Give it a chance :p , I enjoyed Grandia I and II alot. They were good games and now the companies have merged and are doing better then ever. They could churn out something really impressive.
I've played a bit of Grandia II, and I liked what I played. However, I can't imagine what Square-Enix was thinking when they claimed this to be a 'big project'. When I hear 'big project', I think if 'Chrono' (though, admittedly, that's due in part to wishful thinking).
Thousands of fans just openly sighed.
Dammit I'm disappointed. I played Grandia II and I hated it (its a joke with my friend who owned the game... if a game is bad, we compare it on a scale to Grandia xD).
And I agree about the 'big project' nonsense. When I hear the words 'big project' from SquareEnix I think along the lines of FF, DQ/DW, Chrono, or SO.
That being said, maybe this game will be awesome... but I do wish they hadnt got our panties in a twist first.
I actually doubt its grandia 3... for some reason i dont think thats it since there isnt even a damn thing about it on the JAPANESE website...
we should wait a while longer to find out for sure
Bah humbug >=O!
:D
Yeah, maybe SE is just throwing us for a loop here. Perhaps Grandia III isn't the big project. Maybe that's just what's on deck...
Grandia I was a really great game. Really, really great. Grandia II was less so but relatively good. In certain places II was extremely similar to Skies of Arcadia and they were the only real RPG's released on the dreamcast. Some of the things SoA and GII had in common are so blatantly obvious its funny.
Well, maybe it IS Grandia 3 and they're just going to put tons and tons of money into it?
Yeah, I considered that. Like they're trying to trick us into thinking Grandia is the hottest series on the market--next to Final Fantasy, of course.
Arent most games they release of high quality? StarOcean3, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy. Unlimited Saga was bad but it did have details. Just minus the fun and the Grandia series already has that.
Edit: actually it sounds at least like a decent RPG

Perhaps, but it's not enough for it to simply be a "decent RPG." The nature of the announcement had everyone thinking Chrono, so this a big letdown at best.
at least,a decent RPG
