Let me start off by saying I'm a huge DBZ fan and a slight X-men fan and I think DBZ would win.I do see how X-men could win but I think DBZ has a 70% favor in winning.So you X-men fans that think DBZ would win post why and me and my DBZ fans will prove you wrong.

Depends. I'm pretty sure that the DBZ characters would blow most of the X-men to ash. Unless they have the Dark Pheonix available. Or Professor X... lets face it, having your mind shut down is a good way to lose.
But, considering that half the DBZ characters could destroy the planet, that's hardly a comparitive battle.
Oh, and though I love the show, I got a joke for you:
Q. "How many DBZ character does it take to screw in a lightbulb?"
A. "Just one, but it will take three episodes."

X-Men would win, cos by the time the DBZ characters had gotten around to deciding ot fight, they would already be dead. xD

The X-Men, supposed you make them face DBZ with the right team.
Give them, say, Rogue, Lucas Bishop (what was his x-man name in English??), and Cannonball....the first can absorbe any power, the second takes in power blasts like it was nothing and the other is invulnerable. Also give them the Dark Phoenix, sha can blow up the world just as well. And there are a few more who could be of use...
Yeah, we really need a DBZ Forum here, and an X-Man subforum within it.

And if ALL of the main characters of the X Men were battling against all the main characters of Dragon Ball Z, then the X Men would win.
Or, if it was Phoenix/Dark Phoenix vs. DBZ, the X Men would win.
Or Rogue vs. DBZ.
Or Professor X + Cerebro vs. DBZ.

The X-men would kill all of the characters, 'cept Goku, and then he'd decide that he's too nice to kill them all, and then he'd start to leave, and the X-Men would kill him.
I'm a big fan of any show that involves supernatural powers and world-ending catastrophic attacks.
I'm no more a fan of DBZ/GT than I am of X-Men. That said, the X-Men wouldn't stand a chance. They may have powers that are awesome in many respects, but the characters of X-Men don't really evolve. They don't seem to have the capacity to become stronger. They don't learn new attacks. As powerful as Goku and Vegeta have become, there's always someone or something out there that's stronger and it forces the heroes to better themselves as ultimate warriors.
