I fear that it will be greatly toned down since they now edit the previous episodes. With any luck it will not have changed and Fox will get an edit while cartoon network gets the full glory.
I'm watching the Cartoon Network version, that's for sure.
Well, I'm sure they got a ton of angry letters for the original three seasons. If they tone it down we'll have to write even more angry letters about it being ruined. xD
I thought Family Guy was cancelled and was just in reruns, but I saw the ad the other day. Did they un-cancel it, or was it just dormant for a while?
Origninated on FOX got cancelled due to complaints of content lol. THen replayed on CN and TBS etc, but now FOX has decided to rebegin the series. YAY! :D
They un-cancelled it.
I've only watched the show a handful of times, but it was always funny. Especially the episodes involving Death. :D Hopefully it won't be edited too harshly.
Ok...you guys know how Peter hass the ball-chin thing going on? well I remember hearing about an episode where he said 'how did these get here?' and took his chin off and put it in his pants? i wanna see that..lol. I love the episodes where people question things about the griffin family that the family doesnt seem to notice. I love family guy.

Well, I've got a new T.V fix.
Yeah, that was a good episode.Quote:

I might give it another try, though.
I've seen a few ads for it on adult swim tonight...but I'm not looking forward to it.
Well we all know you have terrible taste in everything. :pQuote:

Family guy is great, watching it with friends makes it seem even more hilarious. You just can't lose :D
Awaiting the new series with bated breath.
Can't wait for this to cross the pond. Have to settle for new King Of The Hill till then I guess.
Two words for Family Guy coming back:
Hell yes.
Omg best news ever! I hope it still has it's greatness. :)
It didn't get canceled because of "complaints for content", it got canceled because it had a timeslot where football games and other sports broadcast would interrupt it and it's ratings slowly got killed. Cartoon Network's showing of Family Guy is what gave it it's quadrupled fanbase it has now. I am a part of that fanbase and proudly own the first three seasons on DVD. :D
I'm sorta excited, and sorta not because I don't ever watch tv, so I won't see them. :(
I really love family guy, the other new shoe, american dad, is not bad itself. I laughed and its rare I laugh at tv these days. im psyched abotu the new FG but its like.. my sister hates it.. Hopefully our schedules wont cross an' all >.<
Alrighty, so what's this about un-editted versions? Are they showing the new episodes on Adult Swim as well and I just happened to miss this information?
Either way, I'm watching it. I'll probably have to tape it if there's a different version on Adult Swim because I can't stay up that late or I won't be able to get up in the morning for school. ; ;
I 2nd thatQuote:

Hopefully, it'll maintain the same wit from before, the same that American Dad tried to cling onto and failed miserably.
Yes, I'm definately looking forward to the new season, although I can't say that I am looking forward to every single quote from the episode this coming Sunday being overused and ripped apart for the entire week until the next episode. Still, I'm smurfing stoked.
I saw the first episode recently, Very comical indeed. "Let he who is without sin, kick the first ass"... Thats all that shall be said on the matter....

CRAP!
Man, my memory sucks. :(
I saw it! I was extremely happy to see that they didn't tone down the racial and religious humor! It was a great episode, so it's good to see Family Guy back in all its glory.
Some of the Jesus stuff seemed a little tacked on in order to be edgy. Like jokes they came up with when The Passion was released and they decided to use a year later anyway.
Otherwise, I loved it.
My favorite part was The Passion 2 and the Blue Brothers Car Chase.
It was frickin' hilarious! I'm gald I remembered as I usally forget to watch shows I really want to see. I've loved Family Guy from the the moment I first saw it, and the new episodes remind me why. n.n
I missed it! :whimper: :crying2: :weep: :crying: :whimper:
Say hello to weeks of overquoting.
"I wanna watch George Lopez!"
"That show only perpetuates the stereotype that George Lopez is funny."
Absolutly fantastic!
It's like they never stopped making them at all.

It was good, not one of my favorite episodes, but it was funny. The Blues Brothers car chase was superb, and my favorite thing was the head tilt Stewie did when Brian mentioned the 'upside down face'.
I agree that the Jesus jokes seem tacked on... it reminded me of the Passion of the Jew episode of South Park, because it seemed like they had to make an extreme effort with some of the stuff, but fell short. Peter telling the guard to stop was classic, though.
For those of you who didnt see it, BitTorrent is your friend. I missed it myself, because of my damn tv breaking, but I downloaded it so yay.
I had never watched Family Guy before, until this episode. I was cracking up just from the opening bit, where Peter named every single Fox show that's been on/cancelled (they mean the same thing) in the past five years.
ZOMG, xD!
That's all I can say.
Brilliance.
I agree that some of the religious jokes seemed a little tacked on, but overall it was a solid episode. And I don't think there could have been any better way for the show to come back than what it did in that opening sequence.

And then the comic coming back up as Lois bitched him out. Classic.
