So far as I'm aware, the song has never been recorded in English. However, there's a translation available at www.fflyrics.com which is a great FF music info site.
I was very happy they left it that way.. the original singer's voice is very good.
That, and I think the translation would not have sounded as good lyrically. That may be why they never released Sutaki Da Ne in English - because they couldn't translate it in any way which lived up to the original.
I would still like to hear it in english. my friends call it the chinese chicken song.
It was pretty unprofessional of them to not do it in English. Not a big deal, though.
It would be interesting to hear it in english, but when i looked at the english lyrics compared to the japanise, it dosent look like it'll fit. But i have heard a song, and then, the same song in japanise, and they made it fit pritty good.
I love the Japanese version.
I don't think it would sound as good in English... blah. :p
the name is suteki da ne?
because i heard i was called suketi da ne
Terrible things happen to Japanese music when it's translated into english
*cough REAL EMOTION cough*
English Suteki da ne?
No, no it isn't....
Suteki da ne is such a beautiful song and if it did end up being sang in english I believe it won't have the same effect it will sound wrong and the words won't fit... Well thats my opinion.
Even though the Japanese versions sound kinda dorky, the English translations of the songs (FFVIII, FFIX) always sound cheesy.
I guess I'd take dorky over cheesy.
RIKKI!!
She has a good voice no?
A fab voice. In japanise, tis "Suteki da ne", that translates to "Isn't it wonderfull"
Um i thought it translated into isn't it beautifulQuote:

The first two verses fit very nicely with a few minor changes.
I think most songs that are originally made in japanese should stay in japanese. If you translate them, it takes away the beauty with which the artists performed them
No, Real Emotion is what you get when you take a teenage girl, give her ecstasy, cram some form of rusty hook down her throat and THEN get her to sing. If I wanted to hear music like that I would just bash my head against glockenspiel several times.Quote:

Xylophones are better anyways. Orchestra bells are way too high pitched xD they go straight to your brain.
