No. I'm not dropping the F-bomb. What are smurfs? See Papa Smurf has a beard so that would seem to indicate that their mamals yet their a colony with one female which would indicate that their insects. Soooo what are they?

They'd probably turn lighter blue.
I remember how I watched these when I was a kid. Have a video too if someone is interested and the language is Finnish :p

Midgets scare me.
I'd like to smurf a smurf. OK I wouldn't but hey, swear filter humour is the greatest!
I hear they smurf off quite a bit.
oh you mean... http://www.funnyjunk.com/pages/smurf.htm
:/
I don't like smurfs. ;________;
They're fish.
Naw, they're mammals. Smurfette isn't one female servicing a group of males... she was created by Gargamel, so without that the Smurfs wouldn't have a female at all.
Smurfs are smurfs!
:eek: wow..... bad.....Quote:

Anyway, he used the smurfs as an example. How they only go 15 frames per second and stuff. And according to him the cartoon is based off of German folklore. But a lot of liberties are taken with the source material so really I don't know if that can even be considered. Though I honestly don't know what the thing was in Germany that they used but if you're curious that should get you a good start on solving the mystery.
That show was so symbolicly racist.
They're small human in shape, wear clothes and some have visable body hair. I'd put them in with any other "mystical" (for lack of a better word) creatures out there. They're like Hobbits, Dwarves and Elves except Smurfish. And I do not mean that they are fish, I'm only I'm using a suffix. I think that's all there really is to say on the subject as I don't remember watching the show long enough to remember anything specific about their origins or anything of the like.
Smurfs are, well, smurfs. Much like humans are, well, humans. I would imagine that they are mammals due to them being incredibly humanoid in nature and because of how they care for their young. They don't seem like insects to me. Not having six legs kind of gives it away. Don't insects have to have six legs? Anyway, yeah, I'd say they're either mammals or else an entirely new animal group of their own.
there goes my innocence.... :cry:Quote:
