What's your favorite movie featuring Tom Cruise ?

I was watching a biodoc program on TV last week about the superstar and his millions and I'm just curious if people have any particular favourite.I think he's played some memorable roles over the years , but my favourites would be as Civil War hero Captain Nathan Algren in The Last Samurai or nihilistic gray-haired assassin Vincent in Collateral - both very different roles.I know critically , his roles in Jerry Maguire and the Mission Impossible movies are considered his greatest but those are my personal favourites.
John Anderton in Minority Report was also cool ,and I'm definitely going to see War of the Worlds sometime.

I'd have to say Jerry Maguire. That film was fantastic, and I thought he did a fantastic performance. He was great in Rain Man, too, though not as good as Dustin Hoffman.

Minority report and of course the obligitory Top Gun

Last Samurai. But then, that's the only film besides Rain Man that I've featured him that I've through completly. Never really cared for him.

Mission: Impossible.

Tommy's ok.

He's great in any movie, but I'll have to go with the MIs.

A Few Good Men, by far.

Mission Impossible.
Followed closely behind by The Last Samurai.

Definitely Jerry Maguire.

Collateral, duh.

not only was the last samurai the best movie with tom cruise, but it was the best movie ever. PERIOD.

I liked Collateral, but mostly because it filmed Los Angeles beautifully, not because of Cruise.

I liked him in Minority Report the best.

Either Mission Impossible (the first one, not the rubbish second one) or Minority Report.

Having said that, I'm not too keen on Mr. Cruise at all. :/

jerry maguire gets my vote. the 'who's coming with me' scene was great and so was the 'show me the money' scene.

A Few Good Men. What a great movie.

I probably haven't seen them all, or even many, but Vanilla Sky was good.

If I have to pick, I choose The Last Samurai over Topgun or Days of Thunder *high fives BoB* because I have an emotional attachment to it. My grandmother had died just before I saw that movie, and I think it's something she really would have enjoyed.

EDIT: PS, I can't WAIT to see War of the Worlds. *dance*

Cruise is great in Magnolia.

Cruise is great in a lot of movies, but the fact is that Jack Nicholson is one of the best actors ever, therefore A Few Good Men wins.

Either The Last Samurai or Collateral...but most likely The Last Samurai.

Those are the only two movies of his I actually liked.
