Of all the single-player games that actually have named characters (ie not 'Fighter' 'Black Mage' etc), if you could have an overall group of six characters included in a game of their own, which would they be?
I haven't played enough of the early FF's so my choices are somewhat limited, but I'm sure you lot can come up with some interesting overall combinations.

Sorry to my team of 8, but you make it 6 and throw away rules its gonna be crazy. Freya, i just didn't have room for you. Rydia, I needed a summoner who doubled as a White Mage.. you are a black. Red XIII, I don't need your speed here, same with you Locke... Reina, You are a great WM, but you cant summon like Yuna can. Auron, You know i like you more than Cloud, but man, you don't have omnislash.... Vivi, and Orlandu, you are too valuable for me to toss away.

Quina (IX) - Best blue mage ever.
Kain (IV) - I'm a sucker for dragoons.

I'm assuming that we're keeping the original game rules intact? in that case, Paine can be popped trained as a White Mage, Both Seifer and Squall can Junction magic high to keep everyoine alive, we can pop some Full Cure materia to Barret, and Amarant and Auron both have Self Healing Abilitys. (Chakra...and i forget what aurons was, but i believe he had them.)
Other than that....Everyones dies from ultra barrage of physical attacks. (saving MP to heal up or Summon)

Cecil (dark knight) - (FFIV) Dark knight rocks my socks
Cloud - (FFVII) I like his hair do

Red XIII (FFVII) My physical attacker with decent magic for emergencies
Cait Sith (FFVII) Almost-as-super-as-Relm mage with great HP
Eiko (FFIX) Healer with a few summons
Quina (FFIX) Comic relief and awesome Blue Magic
Quistis (FFVIII) All around character

Dunno why Setzer or Terra are in there though. Mog works because he can equip spears. I think Cid from FFVII was more of a lancer/dragoon than Terra was. Also add Ramza from FFT as a Lancer, in place of Setzer, and you got a good team of dragoons.

It is pretty balanced, as well. XD
It does make one wonder, how would an all Dragoon team perform, as they'd spend most of the time in the air and thus wouldn't get damaged that much.
Less Damage recieved=Less amount of trips to the Inn, and less Money spent on potions, But More Money for Equipment.

If I could use characters that you can never get on your team, I'd use some other characters (Beatrix from FFIX for example you can only use as help for Steiner and/or Freya for a few battles.) from other games, but I'd only use square's games.
