why do you people disapprove of people typing in msn language so much?
Because it's annoying to read when it really doesn't take that much longer to type the words out.
but i find it very annoying when it takes not as long to type and it is quicker to read

It's not quicker to read if you don't know what all the words are. I don't know what 75% of them stand for since I don't type like that and have no desire to learn them :p I learned english once and I don't feel like learning a new crappier version of it.
I dont mind msn language much but i always type words the only things i change are "U" and little things like that, its harder to type like "Dat" and "Dat gr8" whats the point?
What's msn language? o.O
u 2 r like cows 4 eva! luv cows! :greenie:
yea lk i lk msn lanwage cos its cool lol u?
i don't mean very complicated stuff i just mean stuff like putting
u instead of you and y instead of why and little things like that!
Language used in text messages(txt msgs) thats been shortened because its faster and slightly cheaper than using proper punctuation. Its irritating online when in message boards because you're at no loss to use ounctuation and reading without punctuation is irritating.Quote:

i don't mean without puncuation i mean aberviating words
i alwayz abrevate wordz. lol
Sometimes it sounds like I'm using msn language because i type too fast for my brain to keep up, and my words go into each other and i press the space bar too soon and i get a word with an additional s or a or something stupid like that. But what i hate most is slipping keys, stupid slippery keys! *bash keyboard*

Translation: Because when people type like this I have to read it like 3 times to understand what it even means.
I don't mind it much when people change "you" to "u" or whatever, but when its the whole sentance / paragraph that your trying to read, its pretty damn difficult. Its even worse when people type like that AND put no punctuation in.
MSN LANGUAGE IS DA BST ALL O YALL H8ERZ OUT DERE CAN GO AWAY U SUK URE JST GEEKZ!!!!
I'm okay with it, it's humorous, but I don't use it. But let's all worship ROFFLECOPTER and LOLLERSKAAATES~
Worst of all, all in capitals, a flourescent colour, underlined, italics, bold and in MSN talk. That makes my eyes go weird...and i hate it when people have random smilies as some of their letters of the alphabet...god! i new one that could do the entire alphabet in bouncing smilie letters: never give them the crucial Q!
I only use it to make fun of people. When it's used as everyday conversation language it's stupid and I consider it a sign of lower intelligence or indifference. Leet Speak, AOLer language, whatever you want to call it, is annoying.
It reminds me of Chavs to be honest! :D
Yeah, basically it makes you look thick.
The other day i accidentally went "WTF?!" instead of "what the smurf?!" and all my friends gave me the most odd look. Rule number one: always use words not letters...with the exception of i and a.....and o
typing in full iz 4 geeks
Abbreviations like that often drive me insane.
I speak English.
I did that once. I thought something was funny and I said, outloud, "LOL". I dont even USE lol, it's just from having to read it all the time xDQuote:

When on a forum, I think you should take the time to type with puncuation and correct spelling, but on MSN and online games I'll spell words correctly but I won't use punctuation.
No you don't Old Manus!Quote:

I hate it because it makes people, that might otherwise be normal, look like complete idiots.
