Yes. FFVII isn't quite the best game ever, but it's close enough to be worth it.
I like sticking the fact that they're not remaking FFVII in the face of those who claim Squeenix are cashing in with the spinoffs and sequels. If they remade FFVII, they'd make such hideous sums of money that even their janitors could retire to Hawaii.
There is no FFVII remake.

Sorry, but I would. I'm a whore, a game slut, a corporate sheep, a fanboy, spoiled, and before all that I'm an FF7 lover. I got tingles just from the PS3 teaser. I played FF7 when I was 12 and it was the only game to have ever touched me emotionally. It may've been because I was so young, but I don't care. It is the best FF, and the only reason I'm here.
I'm glad Squeenix is exploiting FF7 for all it's worth. Deep down inside all FF7 lovers are, even if they claim to feel alienated by Squareenix's greed or not.
I would not buy a PS3 for that sole reason, no. But I'm sure I'll get one at some point. Maybe not though. I don't play video games much these days.

I doubt I'd buy any system for one game, let alone FFVII. It's okay, but nothing amazingly special in my opinion.
I need more than one game to warrant purchasing a system, so no.
If the in-game looked like that FF7 tech demo... then yea, I probably would... but I'd probably wait for the price to go down first.
Yes. I'd buy a DVD player for Advent Children, A PSP for Crisis Core (eventually), A mobile for Before Crisis (possibly), and although I already have one Id buy a PS2 for DoC (or Id wait for the PSŁ so I could play both.
Ok, so if 2/3 of the pollsters here say they'd buy a PS3 solely for FFVII remade, don't they think it would be wise to, you know remake it? (Ok, there's probably some exaggeration, but on the other hand there'll be quite a few people who would buy it if they had a PS3, just not specifically get a PS3 for it.) If we want it that much... I'm going to read the Geneva Convention on Human Rights, there has to be something about this.
We've been yellig for years, and all they'll give us is movies, prequels, and sequels, but no remake :(

Yes, I can honestly say that I would pay the $300 for the PS3 just for FFVII. FFVII is my favorite game and I would seriously devote my entire life to an FFVII remake.

I bought an Xbox so that I could play Fable. I bought a PS2 so that I could play FFX. I bought a Gameboy- Well, you get the picture. FFVII is my favorite game OF ALL TIME. Would I pay $300 to play the remake? Heck yeah.
Maybe not only for that game. But I'd make a thought for sure. And since the next Final Fantasy games are coming out for PS3, well...

Yeah, I kna. And the "hardcore" FFVII lovers in the company have stated that they'd love to work on an FFVII remake, but they must follow the president's orders, and rightfully so. What are you talking about? The X-Box didn't lead the console race. The PS2 was in the lead, bud.
I wouldn't drop $200 or more on a game system to play one single game even if it was an amazing game I hadn't played before, so I definitely wouldn't pay that much to play I game I've beaten dozens of times. I'd rather SE make a good new game than try to sex up an old one.
It would be nice if you could use the analog joystick on ff7 though.
The only system that I would buy for the sole reason of playing one game would be the XBox for playing Halo. So, no, I would not buy a PS3 for the sole-purpose of a mythical FFVII remake.
gonna get one anyway. Final Fantasy lives on with PlayStation (and perhaps GC and XBOX). PS is the mainstream, i'll buy it! yay for makeovers.
I have no intentions on buying PS3, I'm more intersted with the 360, but if and only if SE remade FF7 for PS3 I'll get me one..
I'd probably use it as an excuse to buy a ps3
