Vanity in a man annoys me, and in a woman? OH GAWD. :nonono:
So what do you think about vanity?
Hang on, I just need to go brush my hair, then I'll answer properly.
I'm very vein, but I don't let it control my life.
My sister is one of the vainest people I know. If she looks like she's in deep contemplation, most likely she's thinking about her hair.
I've never been vain in my life.
*Goes to take a 50 minute shower*
I hate it when people let it control their lives.
Yeah, so do I.
*Has 90 minute shave*
xD
Vein people are weak. I'm vein... D'OH. :(
I'm not vain in the strictest sense, but I'm self-conscious, and usually think I look like crap, so people will be like 'ooo err'.
I am vain with spelling & grammar.Quote:

You and your hard words.
Are you talking to me? ARE YOU? :mad2:
:rolleyes2
Every time, and I mean every time I pass my reflection I'll look at myself.
I annoy you? I find the idea that strangers annoying you hilarious btw.
:P
Not vain, really. If I think I look like crap, and pass a mirror, or a window, sometimes I look, but more often than not, I make it a point NOT to look. So take that however you want.
Vanity seems so useless. You gain almost nothing from it; I like spending my time doing something more productive, like writing, or reading, or playing video games, or eating.
:D
A friend of mine has an eyebrow brush... Did I mention he was male?
Metrosexual males.. *shakes head*
Depends on what you mean by vain.
Spending 30 minutes in the shower 'cause I need to scrub my body and wash and condition my hair make me vain?
Spending 30 minutes getting ready for going out make me vain? Make-up and the whole package.
I like to lay out tomorrow's clothes at night. But only because I was too sleepy in the morning once and accidently shut the drawer on my hand. It hurt. And I guess at night I can see better than first thing in the morning so my top will actually match my pants/skirt. So ok sometimes I want to make sure shoes will match everything else, too. :rolleyes2
Oh God, I really am vain.
*runs and hides*
If looking "good" will make me late for what I'm doing, then I don't try to look good... I remember a certain few weeks that I got too busy to brush my hair. Says something in a way. Taking care of the way I look doesn't exactly run my life, I just do it if I have the time. And these days I do.
"Vanity is similar to pride, but it involves an excessive admiration of oneself because of one's real or imaginary skills, talents, accomplishments, or appearance."
It's totally nice.
Souds so necessary thing :lol:Quote:

I like to look good when I'm out but thats about it really.
Okay, I suppose I should answer seriously.
Vanity isn't all that bad, because if it weren't for vanity, girls wouldn't look so pretty and I would have less attractive girls to look at. That doesn't mean makeup - I'm actually a massive advocate for natural beauty - I just mean keeping your hair right and making sure you aren't coated in pimples and brushing your teeth and all that sort of thing. Wearing the right kind of clothes, whatever. It's all vanity to some degree. Some people spend a lot of time on it and if it pays off, good for them. It might not be that they're any more or less vain, merely that they're going for a different look that's harder to get to. Even if it is crappier. >_>
EDIT: Having said all that, if someone is going to spend time merely 'checking themselves out' or admiring themselves in any way, that's a bit too vain, probably. It's one thing to get yourself looking good, it's another to be obsessed with yourself.
I look at myself everytime I walk past the mirror. Does that make me vein? No. I have a dirty job and theres nothing wrong with making sure you don't have a big smear of grease on your chin or streaks of dirt running down your face.
:save:In our days the world vanity has a bad meaning :( .I think that everybody is vain in some ways.So i do not think that vanity is bad. This is my opinion :) . :save:

Excessive vanity is never good. And I'm not one of those girls who preps and preens herself all day. But hey, if they want to spend their time obsessing over their looks, that's their deal not mine.
Also, metrosexuals are taking over the world. It's best to just accept them rather than try and fight the power of the pretty pretty men.
haven't had a shave in a week not sure if it's designer stuble or just laziness.
I guess I'm metrosexual. AND PROUD OF IT. :mad2:
:D
I'm self-conscious as hell but not vain. Mostly because, if I'm not in school, I know I won't be going anywhere where I have to impress anyone.
It's funny, some people think I'm vain because I look in the mirror a lot and try and make my hair "perfect", but it's actually because I'm very insecure about how I look so I'm checking it. It's not because I love to look at myself. Although sometimes I do, when I'm looking good~ ^_^
Aww... I failed. :(Quote:

May be a case of;
