cool!
That's interesting, what magazine is that clip from?
GameInformer. Just got it in the mail yesterday.
A spin-off game where you play as Clyde Arrowny in his bandit days would be awesome.
o_O No comment...
What I would really like to see is a FFVI with BEAUTIFUL graphics. I know graphics aren't everything and it is the graphics that make FFVI what it is, but I would just like to see it with FFX-scale graphics.
Note: That doesn't work vice-versa. 32-bit FFX would suck even worse than it does now. You have to have a good game before you go changing the looks.
I agree. The FMVs for FFVI aren't very good compared to now and days.Quote:

I'd love to see a remake of this, but I'd like to see a spin-off as well. It would be pretty hard to make a sequal. They could do something like the War of Magi or Clyde's story like someone mentioned earlier. That would be cool.
*Slits wrists. Lengthwise, not across.*
wow
Agreed. If they followed that path, though, I wouldn't be surprised if Baram turned out to be Gogo.Quote:

I recognized that clip and had to go into my GameInformer to find it. I'd like that, it'd be interesting if properly executed.
smegorama! that would be f'in awesome ! come on sqare dont let me down!
I'm both very excited and very afraid. Let's hope if they make a sequal or a remake of FF6, they don't screw it up. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt should they run with this, but only because FF6 is my favorite game of all time and I'd love nothing more than a well done sequel or prequel.
I would like to see more on the War of the Magi, but I doubt any sequel/remake would focus on it.
htat would be cool to but you would have none of the original characters and i would wan to see them again something like a fanfic i read on fanfiction.net its called dark esper i think thats a good story i hope its something like that just a few years after ff6Quote:

Funny you should mention fanfiction.net. I actually wrote a War of the Magi fanfiction that I posted there. I'll have to check out Dark Esper though.
I think Square should really listen to their fans on this one. This is one of the classic games, even more so than FFVII (well, not for everyone), and it should be done with great care if at all. Seeing the way they are going nowadays with the FF-series, I'm really scared to find out where this will lead...
A remake wouldn't be as bad as a half-assed sequel or prequel for that matter. At least the plot would stay the same, and it would still be the same wonderful places, characters with a better view. I'd like to see how much detail they could make into Gogo's outfit, and how they would put the other characters together, aswell.
Well, if your a big Gogo fan, they may be able to pull off having him/her/it in the game, but that that would pretty crush every theory ever made on Gogo.Quote:

Hmm, I always thought that FF6 had a very definate ending, so I would say that a remake would be more plausable.
I would like to see what they end up doing with Atma/Ultima Weapon...
Wow!Now really all we can do is hope..^_^
*Hopes VERY strongly*
Call me stupid but I really dont get it...
Well it is confusing if you didn't click on the picture or read the other posts.
This thread is about a re-make of the game!
Oh I really hope they make one and have a PC version...
Hey, I'd buy it. Doesn't matter that I already have the PS version, I'd buy the game all over again---if it ends up being a remake.
Actually, I'll probably buy it no matter what it is, as long as it's remotely FF6-oriented.
:D
Based on the writing in the clip I would say it's pretty obvious that if they make anything it won't be a remake. As far as what they do make, all we can do is hope that it's good. If not... my opinion on FFVI isn't going to change. I'll just be dissapointed that the chance for something great fell through.
