I thought the other thread was about your first square game. But it wasn't. So I thought why not make a thread about this. What was your first square game!!??
Mine was FF7.
Mods plz dont move since some people could have played another square title before the FF series...

Mine was FF6. As it should have been.
Kingdom Hearts, surprisingly that's what got me into Final Fantasy...The FF characters in Kingdom Hearts made me want to play the FF series just so I could see what happens with all the characters...

My cousin introduced it to me and the game craze had begun. So I bought loads of FFs, action games, RPGs, game magazines, and joined countless FF forums.
Final Fantasy 8, I believe. Glorious.

I was gonna say Mario RPG, but I remembered I played Secret of Mana at my cousin's house one time before it came out. So yes, Secret of Mana!

If I played any before FFVII, I wasn't aware they were by Square...because it wasn't until I began playing FFs that I actually paid attention to who developers.
FFX, unless Sword of Mana is a square game...

i love FF, but it's not my firstie. i think it was Super Mario RPG. didn't even know it was a Square game. i used to play on emulators. i still do, but not as much now. plus, they're only for GBA.

Way before I had anything but a Genesis, I saw someone playing FFVII and was intrigued. Years later I borrowed a friend's PS1 for the summer and started with FFIX. It's still far and away my favorite.
I watched my stepbrother playing FFIX, and that got me sort of interested...but my first real Square game was FFX.....ah, memories...
First square game for me was 3D Worldrunner, then Rad Racer, which neither impressed me much (worldrunner i still enjoy to this day from time to time though)
then my dad bought Final Fantasy when it came out, and ive been a square junkie ever since
Final Fantasy VII. I love that game more than any other. That's saying something, as I love a ton of video games and I am especially a DBZ Budoki fan. FF7 still eats my brain and runs my life...so to speak...GO TURKS AND RUFUS!!
The original Final Fantasy for me. I think I spent more time trying to put together the puzzle than I did actual gameplay back when I was 10. xD I was just excited because I actually saw my characters online with weapons and magic. Before that, all I had was Dragon Warrior and I'd just hear a sound effect and maybe the screen would blink when I fought in battle.

That game is amazing, still. :)
Well I didn't have it but I played it a lot at my cousins house so I count this. The game is Secret of Mana on the SNES. Still one of my favorite RPGs of all time.
FFIX
FFIII, which I knew it as back when I first rented it for SNES. It is now known as FFVI.
I started with Chrono Cross, and den FFIX, and den FFVII, and den FFX(still havent finished), and den Drakengaurd (real fun, but kinda easy so far, gotta find my other mem card to finish, same with FFX) and den Chrono Trigger. Oh FFV is another unfinished somewhere in there. I own all that came out for the playstation except for FFVIII and these are all Ive played so far. Wow, looking over that, its kinda an odd order.
Either Rad Racer or FFI, I know that I never owned Rad Racer, but there's a possiblity that I may have played it before FFI. Who knows? I am sure of one thing: I played Rad Racer on some NES while NES was still popular, but I can't remember if this happened before or after we got FFI.

That's really a bad game to get started on, considering how many cameos from other games it has.
Final Fantasy Legend 3 was my first owned Square game, but I had played Final Fantasy and Secret of Mana at friends' houses prior to that.
My first Square game was FF 7 and ever sinsce then iv'e got and played most of the games!

Now that I think about it BFM is my first square game. Yeah!! it was all back when I was young boy. My brother told me never to buy a FF game because he saw his friend play it and thought it was a dumb game. But!! The BFM game I got had a demo of FF8!! OooH Aaah!!I told him he was right that game did suck. But as I played it for no apparent reason I started to like it so I bought FF7 and my bro asked if I liked it while I was playing it and I responded "yes". That time I think he didn't believe but after I got more FF game's I think he got used to it...

Final Fantasy VIII and it was great. Then FF-Endless Nova(a fan game so not too Square), FFVI, FFVII, Chrono Trigger and a bit of each other I-V series. Never finished FFVI:)

You know how they say the first FF that you play is the best? That was my idea. I started playing FF's late in the series. FFX was thought to be the best but when I bought VII, VIII, and IX I was blown away. Then I realized X was crap.
I think Tan needs to indulge himself in the OLDSCHOOL SNES FF's.

The first Squaresoft game I ever played was either Mystic Quest on the Game Boy (Final Fantasy Adventure), or Secret of Mana on the SNES. I don't quite remember which I played first.
At least, they're the only ones I really remember. I also played the Mystic Quest game on the SNES (no relation) but I think that was a later time...
The first proper Final Fantasy game I played was FFVII, though.
