What's your favourite dish that isn't even uncommon in your daily life, ie: it's so rare that you go 'yay!' every time you eat it?
Tandoori chicken used to be it, now I can have it every day ^_^

Wait, your question says one thing, yet your example says another. :(

My favorite Indian dish is bhindi masala, served dry and deep-fried. I used to not get it often, but now that I know how to cook it (and several other tasty Indian dishes), I guess it doesn't fit the topic. But since everyone is on about fantastic Indian food (<3 PG and Umi), I thought I'd keep it real. :D
I have to go out to get Indian food, and in Toronto it's just a burden when you can cook chinese or go to some 'Canadian' restaurant.
In HK there's Indian cuisine everywhere ^_____________^
*adds HK on Places I Need to Visit list* :D
edit: Umi, I should say I don't know exactly what Green Curry is, because I never learned the English translations of the spices my mom used while cooking certain dishes. :p
Thai Surprise Parcels. You never know what's inside the next juicy sack.
Unfortunately, I can only eat them at Thai restaurants.
I had Karahi Lamb a few times. mmmm.
Edit: How is canned Chicken Tandoori?
Rack of Lamb. Too expensive and cute for me to eat often, in fact I've only had it once but it was extremely delicious and I'd love to have it again.
Spaghetti Bolognese.
Spaghetti bolognaise, fajitas and sushi :D
EDIT: And Quesadilla's, even though I've only had them twice, and basically any thai food, especially thai green curry
Fajitas. At one stage we were having them around 3/4 times a week, but it's still like OMG [img]http://home.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/heart.gif[/img]
Never tried it, and I think I'd keep it that way. :p If you're itching for some quick warm-up Indian food, I've found MTR brand Bhindi Masala is quite excellent, although their other dishes are very less so.Quote:

For me, I'll say any Swedish food that my Mormor makes. She hardly ever cooks it, but it's so delicious.
:D
Yeah, reading this thread makes me realize there's a lot of different regions I havent sampled food from. Indian food sounds really good.
I am Bengali, and I kind of have Indian food everyday (Seeing how we eat the same stuff, and people call it "Indian".) I still like Tandoori Chicken as my fav. food though. I don't like the restaurant ones, they are too burnt. I like the ones my mom makes the best *drools*.
Btw, if you live in Canada ( I don't know about the rest of the world), you will notice that most of the so-called "Indian" restaurants are actually run by Bengali people. Supposedly, they make a higher profit by naming their restaurant "Indian" rather than "Bengali". LoL.
There were a ton of good Indian restaurants near school in Cincinnati, but it's much harder to come by in Atlanta.
Manicotti.
Momo's, Nepalese steamed things. I used to only be able to get them when My dad made them, but there is a Nepalese restaurant in this town now. :}
Lasanga! But Every restaurant I ever go, i ALWAYS have lasanga.
Every time :)
And my mum makes a belting Lasanga herself
You can't go wrong with a good old chinese! :pQuote:
