Okay, I had to post this, even though it makes no great contribution to the forum. But I was so shocked to see this.

I was so shocked to see this, because I have seen the starting so many times, WOW. IT WAS SO GOOD OF A FEELING! I mean, you get it.

Did anyone get a similar reaction?

sqall and rinoa have the best love story(i consider FF8 to be more of a love story than other FFs.)and also FF8s normal story rock and also im glad that the start scene isnt completely pointless.

Definitely my favorite.

Although I think I got more enjoyment out of FF1 way back in the day of the NES. Entirely because I was a kid though.

But anyways, now FF8 is my favorite game ever. Hands down.

I loved the FF8 story. Very sweet. Also about the rinoa-ultimecia thing, I don't like it personally. That and it doesn't make enough sense to work. First of all they have different accents (I know that sounds wierd considering it's text but you can see the difference). That and wouldn't ultimecia of noticed Squall? Unless that was how she became ultimecia by not meeting Squall. But then it gets all confusing and makes me start to ramble so I'll stop. I still don't like it though. Time dillation confuses me.

The flower field scene is the key feature that links - and explains - the beginning and end of the game. Great bit of storytelling, actually.

the story of my first girl (renee, almost the same) was exactly the same principles of squall and rinoa... 'cept i didnt go into outta space or nuthin' but pretty much the same.

(She came into my life, i said "just stay near me", she couldnt keep away from me, i shun her, she pushes forward, i retreat. In the end I end up telling her the reason why i wont go out with her is cause "most of my childhood ppl i was close to left me to be alone, so i stay away from ppl so i wont get hurt again... but then YOU come along and i can't help it...)

In the game it seems all nice and cool but in reality... damn it sucks...

ahhhh well beer heals all wounds...

I always thought it would be Squall saying "Why...?" when I was playing through the game the first time. And yes, the storytelling of this game is great.

For the first time it felt funny to see those same lines, but then again it bound the beginning with the end, just like someone said earlier. Sweet ^^
And the next time it felt funny again, but in a good way, I just can't explain it. Like a dejá-vu or something. hih.
