When someone says "color me surprised", what color are they referring to?

Thats simple... they are actually not talking about a particular colour what they mean is well change (colour) my mood to suprised (WHATEVER MOOD) of course in the snese they are talking about a colour my guess is flesh-coloured. no really.

I have never heard that before, but I guess the person who says it wants you to color them in a color that surprises them? I can not see any logic in the expression if that is not the right answer o_O
