Here's my favorite top 5
1. Final Fantasy series
2. Tales series(comes really close to FF)
3. Fire Emblem series
4. Breath of Fire series
5. Chrono Series
1. Final Fantasy
2. Star Ocean
3. The Xeno Saga (I always wanted to say that)
4. Chrono
5. Mana
Of course, I like other games that aren't exactly "sagas", like Treasure Hunter G, Rudra no Hihou, Live-A-Live, and other "sagas" containing a game I like, but others that I despise (like the Soul Blazer series; I hated the first game, but Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma were both great games).
I also like the Tales series (though I've only had the chance the play Phantasia and Destiny, without finishing them; the Narikiri Dungeon games were great, by the way), Megaman Battle Network (there're a few bad games, but they're mostly good), Fire Emblem (I still have to finish those old SNES games and FE6...), Breath of Fire (though Dragon Quarter was SO lame and short...please Capcom, get back to normal RPG formula!), Golden Sun, Lufia, Grandia, and many, many others...
1.The Elder Scroll Series
2.Final Fantasy Series
3.Wild Arms Series
4.Xeno series
5.GTA series.
1. Final Fantasy
2. Kingdom Hearts
3. Suikoden
4. Fire Embelem
5. ???
1. Phantasy Star
2. Suikoden
3. Xeno
4. Chrono
5. Monster Rancher
Tales (Only played Phantasia and Symphonia, I really need to import the others)
Wild ARMs (Only played 1 and 3, stupidly)
Star Ocean (Really, only Star Ocean 1 & 2, TTEOT was awful)
Chrono Trigger & Cross (They're both long enough to count as a series)
Breath of Fire (Though missing out 3 and 4, I didn't get a chance to play them very much, so I can't really cover them much)
I don't really play so many RPGs any more, and the few sereii I consider really worthwhile are the ones that I either haven't played too much, or haven't excessively over-extended themselves, covering a few too many games of depreciating quality.
^^^^^^^^
Dumb
My favourites are
1. Final Fantasy
2. Alundra
3. Dark Cloud/Chronicle
4. Grandia
5. BOF
Trufully, there the only RPG series that actually made it to UK
I beg your pardon?Quote:

What's wrong with my choices? I love those games so much. Phantasy Star IV shall be my all time favourite RPG.
>>> Final Fantasy, Suikoden, Tales, Star Ocean and Lunar series..
Im also fond of The Dragon Warrior series but I still have to play DW7, Im sure when I get into the game DW will become one of my fav RPG series..
Digimon World, I don't care what people say about this series. I find them really fun (well except for part 2, but that one has my favorite story).
Final Fantasy, the characters really hook you. Kain PWNS all.
GTA, this game is pretty much freedom imbodied in a game. You get to do anything you want with out consiquences.
Metroid, best exploration game ever.
Megaman, I mean them all from the originals, X, Zero, Legends, and Battle Network. Not soccar, didn't like that one.
Shame GTA, Metroid and Megaman aren't RPGs.
GTA is NOT an RPG series :mad2:Quote:

THE JACKEL
1. Final Fantasy
2. Dragon Quest/Warrior
3. XenoSaga
4. Fire Emblem
5. Disgaea (There's only one, but I don't like any other serieses.)
1. Breath of Fire (my all-time favorite)
2. Lunar
3. Star Ocean
4. Grandia
5. FF (only some of the older games)
I'm seeing a lack of Suikoden and Phantasy Star here.
1-5 zelda (various titles, I don't know the names)
1. Final Fantasy
2. Advance Wars
3. Fire Emblem.
4. Xenosaga
5. Tales
In no particular order...
Final Fantasy
Zelda
Star Wars: Knights of the old republic
Star Ocean
Breath of fire
1. Star Ocean
2. Final Fantasy
3. Suikoden
4. Kingdom Hearts
5. Xenosaga
I guess some people could say Battle Network an RPG...mabey. I was running out of RPGs by the time I got to Metroid. I'm leaving Megaman up there cause Battle Network could technically be an RPG, I'll replace GTA with Golden Sun and Metroid with Star Ocean (I only played Second Story and Til The End of Time)Quote:

Xenosaga would have been on the list, if i played the serie. But i have seen enough reviews, screenshots and videos to feel the magic like the FFserie. Too bad the serie will never be released in EU.
Is Xenogears included in the "Xeno Saga" series?
Nope.
1. Final Fantasy
2. Chrono
3. Breath of Fire
4. Dragon Warrior
5. Mario

FF
Mana series
Tales
Fire emblem
And I dunno what should be fourth...
Easy.
Tales of ([In order of preference] Phantasia, Symphonia, Destiny, Eternia, Destiny 2, Rebirth, Narikiri Dungeon 2, Narikiri Dungeon 3, Narikiri Dungeon)
Valkyrie Profile (Not really a series, but it deserves to be.)
Suikoden (No explaination needed.)
Star Ocean (1, and 2 were great. 3 lacked in story, big time, but I still found it enjoyable to play. Perhaps it was the likeable characters, or maybe it was just Lenneth and Freya. Meh.)
Breath of Fire(I enjoyed all of them, though I still haven't played V)
>>> Any fan of Lunar series (besides Kishi) out there?
Lunar games are very funny, gotta love all those bromides..
and yeah, we need a new Valkyrie Profile game..
God bless Lunar and Lunar 2.
I never did get all the bromides in Lunar, but I think I had next to all of them in Lunar 2.
Nash's are pretty funny.
In fact, Nash just is in general.
Ah yes, Lunar!
I loved both Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue.
Though I never got the chance to play the original Sega CD versions, both "Complete" versions were highly enjoyable games.
The new DS Lunar is looking to be good, too.
