WHat is the best final fantasy in your opinion. I think its final fantasy 7. Plz be honest.
hmm my most favporite is probaly 7 to its the first one that got me into final fantasy but uhh shouldent this be in general gaming discussion?
Mostly you'll get FF7s because this is in the FF7 forum. And this question has been asked literally thousands of times.
Edit: The thread has been moved, this comment is no longer valid. Now quit reading this post and move on. NOW!
I love n00b questions !!!!!
So this questions is what do you think is the best, not your favourite
oooooo I like this question.........errrrrmmm FFIX had nothing to hate about it.
 well, I think that ff7 is the best. In my opinion, it has the better story, complex characters, mystery, music everything!!!
FF VI. Good storyline and character development. Have nice music and cool villian with a trademark laugh.
ffix... for sure...
FFIX was probably the best so far, but from what I've played of the Demo of FFXII, it seems like it might be slightly better...
Of all the Final Fantasies, Final Fantasy Tactics remains my favorite. A compelling storyline, a fun gameplay style that requires much more strategy, great characters, Tactics is an incredible experience for any FF fan.
Of the numbered ones, VI, many characters all of whom were well defined, a good story, great characterization, subtle in just the right places, a brilliant game, definitely.
i think X is the best the only downside is an uncontrolable airship but for the rest it was almost perfect
VI follows closely though
theres so many but my favourites are 7,8,9,6,5,1,2and 4 but it is realy hard to say which because of the FFs are so cool.
VIII is my favorite. It introduced me to final fantasy so i owe it much. It also has my favorite cast of characters and the story line was awsome, plus the soundtrack was one of the best :D
I or VIII, I can't decide.
This is probably the most controvertial forum that'll ever be made in this forum (hurray for arguments ^_^)
It's too hared to tell which one's actually the best one though
I mean there are just so many points to look at:
FF 1-4: I haven't really gotten very far in any of these so I can't really say
FF 5: Great character development and story was good, loved the class system
FF 6: Best old-school FF game, lots of great characters, a fantastic story line and generally a fun game
FF 7: Awesome! By far the most compelling storyline, with an excellent team of characters and fighting system, good fmv's and the all time greatest villian ever created how could you go wrong?
FF 8: Good story line and good characters, but it had 3 major faults which set it back; Junctioning, Squall and Rinoa. But at least the card game was good
FF 9: Good story, it had a much more comical and humourous approach and thats always fun. But somehow it was missing a special part of it that kept you up until ungodly hours playing the game (which the other ff's had)
FF 10: Love the tag system. But the storyline got really confusing and annoying. But scrapping the whole world map thing was a real let down. But it all made up for it with BLITZBALL!
FF 10-2: Not bad, good class system and those special change things were nice and original. But it was way too girly and got boring at times.
So there's my opinion, judge it however you wish
The best in my opinion is IX there really wasnt anything wrong with it.
From good to least good 7,9,10,2,10 2,8. 8 sucks! No offence.
For me it was VII/ VIII following closely.
VIII but I havent beaten everyone. Right now I am really enjoying VI and V. VII was the first one I played, and I love it, but due to its popularity, and overwhelming throngs of fans. Ill say its VIII.
I think VI is the overall best game, but IX is definitely my favorite in the series.
FFVI is the best. The bad guy really does reach his goal at first. Then he dies. 'cos they sounded like a self help book.
I hate this question. It's stupid. It's OBVIOUS that Final Fantasy VI is the best. No questions. You are a pile of feces if you think otherwise. Sorry, but it’s the truth.
We're allowed to have different opinions than you, you know. Sorry, but it's the truth.
hee hee, yep and mine is ff7 :DQuote:

Well, it IS a stupid question. FF VII and FF X were very good games. In fact, they are all very good games, even FFX-2. I am just saying that FF VI is the OVERALL best. But you can have your own opinion, this is just mine. So don't pee yourself over it.Quote:

my fav is 7, it had an incredible plot. Well darn so did 8! ok, it's a tie, 7&8!!!! :D
my faovrites are ff3/4 (the 1 with edgar) and ff7
I actually didn't like 7 that much. My favorites are 1,6,8,9 (not in that order though) I guess 10, but it would be much better if it didn't have voice actors, most of the voices just annoyed me (tidus, rikku, wakka, seymour, yuna).
7
In my opinion, it's 9 or IX. Sweet storyline, awesome characters, excellent music and everything else. It was the fourth Final Fantasy I've ever played and remains as my absolute favorite. It captured my heart greatly.... :p
Isn't 9 and XI the same?
9 is IX. XI is 11. Roman numerals are as follows:
I=1
V=5
X=10
Thus, if you see IX that means 1 and 10, since the I is in front, it is subtration, therefore it is 9. XI is 11, simple addition, just like III is 3, VII is 7, etc. etc..
Final Fantasy X-2 ^.^
Final Fantasy X-2 International+ Last Mission
ff8 IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!FINAL FANTASY 8 RULEZ ff2 is good to.
FF10. Best gameplay, pretty good music. Good characters.
VI, followed by IX. I think their far better then VII xP.
FF3 for shizzle. The knight costume is just so sweet.
FFT is amazing too. I'd say it's overall the best b/c of replay value and the hugeness of it all.
numbered though... I like 1 and 3. 4-6 are ok, but they are missing something with the whole controlling storylines, but without the graphics to back them up. 7-9 I don't have much experience with, but I'd rate X above them I think. It seems like they are all trying to tell stories, but without the graphics and voices and stuff of X, you don't really get into it as much. If they are gonna control what you do, they should at least make it immersive. (Yes, I realize this isn't fair b/c the tech wasn't out when they wwere made, but that's no reason for me to rate them higher. No pity points for you!)
I can do 2 personalities. As a true fan who was around at the time, FFVI, best one, no contest. As an anime trend whore, FFVII, was the best one. The newer ones, I get confused, I have a lot of stuff in my head and I can't separate those games and their characters from all the anime I've seen. SO it's hard to judge those.
How many times has this question been asked?
FF7 is the best by the way, in my opinion
FFX-2 & FFX-2 International+ Last Mission
^___^
You spelled subtraction wrongQuote:

On topicness now
I will literally open a can of powerpuff on all of you who said
Final Fantasy 7 and 9. But I choose Final Fantasy 4.
I just realized I didn't actually answer the question being asked.
Anyway, the Final Fantasy that featured the hottest half-Esper character ever.
Yeah, I agree... one thing, have you gotten past the Banga Chief yet, I don't know what to do :confused:Quote:

Hmm... its always been difficult for me to single out just one as the best. Hmm... I enjoyed all the FF games that I've played, each game holds different memories for me, so, each game is special in it's own right.
X and VI cant choose between them they both have great stories X has better battle system but VI had lots of well developt chars the music is even but the sphere grid is imo better then the espers system (im gonna get burned for this) but VI story is just a bit better so they are even
final fantasy x-2 one word it has my fav character of all time who is it well look at my sig
Top 5
Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy V
I think that you have to play every single game, or at least all of the main ones either all the way through or a significant amount of in order to actually answer this question.
I haven't beaten all of them but I played all of them...Quote:

By far Final Fantasy 6 and 10 are the best ever.
Final Fantasy 10's replay value is the best of all
of them. and Final Fantasy 6's graphics are over perfect
for its position in the series. Theres no point
trying to compete with these two.
7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7 oh look theres someone up there that likes 9. and about two people who like 8. man its all the same when it comes down to it. im my opinion 8 was the best. oh and soras cousin... u cant say 8 sucked and not mean any offence.
ff3 i mean 3 not 6 but 3.
the factor u can be one job then for the heck of it switch.
yah u like my shalin monk. BANG. how do like it now i am a white mage oh yah.....Bang how bout now a ninja. or bang a warror or bm or what ever. pluse 2 weapons mean 2 x damage and wow the stroy was gay but man i loved the factor of BANG redmage is now a monk or white mage is now a thief...ect ect
follwed closely by ff1. none can beat the all powerful of the original
Seven. Very, very, Seven.
All the way, total utter Seven.
Yes, Seven.
By the way, did I say Seven already?
7&10
I would have to say
7- because I love the story line and the characters
8-it was my first Final Fantasy game I ever played pluz my dad got it for me for the PC version for X-mas one year
9-..Vivi and moogles are soo kawaii
10- Love the storyline and gameplay
10-2- If I loved 10, I'm gonna love 10-2 just as much XDXD
FFVIII <3
hey i know this is going to sound odd but are there any movies of ff and if there are what are they called.
There is one, kinda. It's called "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within" but it's only loosely based on it (in other words, a bit rubbish as a FF franchise film).
There's no Magic, no Moogles, no Chocobos, no Summons, no Ultima, no Holy, no Jobs, no Swords...
Although I've heard rumors that one of the characters has a small "Chocobo" logo on his t-shirt, although I've not found it myself.
Oh right thanks
VII is the best; it started the trends that basically everyone else copies off of. VI, IX, and X are also very good, even though I didn't like Kefka.
I like Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, and Final Fantasy Tactics the most.
Actually, a lot of aspects in FFVII were copied from FFVI…Quote:

Yeah, Kefka's pure evil! He made the people die in small numbers one by one, Sephy was just going to wipe out the whole planet at once. Which it seems like he could have done at any time with Super Nova.Quote:

I was under the impression that I'm talking about Final Fantasy.Quote:

Regardless of your personal opinion on the game itself, the dollar signs don't lie.
Kefka did far less than Sephiroth. Even if you attribute moral responsibility for Sephiroth's actions to Jenova, he was still the one doing all the work. All Kefka did was move a few statues around. He had the world handed to him on a silver platter. Sephiroth worked hard for it, and came within an inch of success. Kefka, by contrast, never really succeeded, not so long as people were willing to stand up to him. Under Sephiroth's plan, no such course of action would have been possible.
Not only that, Kefka looks like the lost member of what was once the Ambiguously Gay Trio. Sephiroth, on the other hand, is the most beautiful being ever to grace a game console, with the possible exception of Princess Zelda. And honestly, who are you going to be more scared of, some random clown or a guy with a seven-foot long sword and murder in his eyes who can throw cars just by flicking them and has a completely thought-out, working scheme to become a god? Even Kuja was more impressive than Kefka; he made up for his ridiculous looks by nuking the entire surface of a planet under his own power. Kefka's only redeeming quality was that he was incredibly, incredibly funny. I LOLed the entire time whenever he talked.
Clowns are scarier than Bishi samurai.Quote:

I would have to say
7&10
No nostalogic value
9 was my first
Hated?-10-2

And you think Kefka did nothing? He actually did more then sephiroth (who I stated earlier, did nothing, it wasnt even him being controlled. It was a clone or something like that). And kefka did MANY evil things. Killed leo, poisoned the people of Doma, betrayed and killed the emperor. Kefka became a god. He had total control over everyone (except the main heros of course, but its like that with everygame). And who (besides the main characters) stood up to kefka? No one. Unlike every other FF villian. Kefka actually succeeded in what he was trying to do.
Anyway, I dont want to get into some pointless arguement over the superior villian in a FF game. What I wanted to know from the beginning is what you were talking about when you said "VII is the best; it started the trends that basically everyone else copies off of."
Please, like I said earlier. Make a list of the games that ripped off FFVII and what it is that they ripped off.
I think to say that tons of games ripped FFVII is inaccurate. Tons of games ripped off of the FF series, but not VII in particular.Quote:
