you'd be sharp! :D

But, really, if you were a sword, what kinda sword would you be?

and why that kinda sword? how does the charactaristics of that sword define you as a person? what have you in common with that sword? Why are you not that sword?

I'm a japanese daito. I'm very singleminded, so I cut only on one side. I'm not brute strength, I'm not vast power, I'm finesse. I'm technique. :D I'm not wholly stiff, I'm not incredibly flexible. I am a beautiful piece of art. It's taken me a long time to get to where and what I am, so it's taken a great deal of careful crafting to make me.

and I'm not completely stiff-spined. I'm gracefully shaped. and I'm shiny!:D

A xiphos would probably be a better sword to match that description, which happens to be my favorite type by the way ;) . But I think I would want to be a Hwandudaedo, cause they were mythed to be able to control minds. :p

Fencing sword? That's an epee, I believe.

I'd have to go with a cutlass, myself. Not exactly a powerhouse, but agile, versatile, adaptive and capable of excelling in situations where nothing else could work. Also, pirates use them, and that's cool.

I'd go with a Gladius. Big enough to get the job done, but not as to show off. Quick, agile, and with good power, but not so unwieldy that it becomes akward. Good for offense, defense, and stealth.

wakizashi, i didnt even think about that one. that would be the perfect small katana, being as that is what it was/is essentially.

and how exactly would you know that inanimate has no personality? Are you an inanimate object? Maybe, just maybe, an inanimate object has more personality and more feelings. and maybe being an inanimate sword would be so bad, I mean come on, you get to be around during big battle and know history better than any historians will. then you will probably get to sleep all you want, and then, when you are rediscovered, you get treated like a king or queen. and people will even come and admire your beautifulness and uniqueness no matter how ugly or normal you really are.

You are a broadsword! you are double-edged and sharp. As swords go you are a happy medium. Long but not to long. Sharp but not enough to make the blade weak. Strong but not overly heavy.
