Everything is history as it happened at some point in the past.
Yep. Can't beat that.Quote:

Nope. Everything we just said? History
That pen over there? History. The pen has a deep rich history from the history of plastics to the history of robotics, mass production and the assembly line.
Everything has history.
that guy in Memento.
3 things!! cmon think ppl!!
A pencil actually. A pencil has a long, long history. Yet even the longest pencil in the world dies out eventually. The race of these pencils has a history yet one pencil itself dies out eventually. What do you think? Crazy as it sounds but that's all I've got for the moment.
ummm............its 3 things that doesnt have a history
Ok fine, the pencil thing, The Future and Fictional Stories.
tht has a history!!
pencils have history. and history has been documented by them.
the future is decided by the past and the present which will sonn be the past.
fiction is based on inspiration for the past and present.
Damn it. You people are good. Why does everything have a history? :mad2:
cmon i need 3 things tht doesnt have a history
what about a singularity?
wutz tht?
TEH FUTURE!
umm, there are movies, and predictions so future doesnt count
singularity (astrophysics) A point in space-time at which gravitational forces cause matter to have infinite density and infinitesimal volume, and space and time to become infinitely distorted.
theres a history in tht too
a singularility would still have a history. how and where it exists or existed for example. how it came into being.
exactly, u need to think abou something tht doesnt have meaning and no creations and crap
there is nothing that has no history.
there has to be at least 3
Eh NANO enhanced fighter robots, humans with gills and microwave glasses? Now I feel like an idiot.
3 things that have nothing to do with history....
Fact, Whole Truths & Losers Justice.
umm.....things tht actually exist
a singularity might have history but it's all been destroyed.
umm, not really, u could send something there and take notes
Ah well that exist now. It's pretty obvious that every ticking second history is beginning to unfold around anything we have today. The only thing that wouldn't exist is whats not here now. If it's not here then history cannot record its existance. Sorry but its impossible to answer this exact question.
my history teacher gave me this question for homework!!
you really can't because singularities are at the center of black holes, etc.Quote:

That would be 1 but since the future has yet to happen...it doesn't exist.
You could say the beginning of the universe since we have no documented history of it thus it is all theory but since it has happened it has history or doesn't exist.
I vote trick question.
It's obvious it was a trick question. You'll probably walk in the next day and your teacher is gonna turn around and say: 'you fell for it' or whatever. Believe me, my history teacher has done it many times...
dude, hes meen, evil, and doesnt joke!!
What doesn't have history that exists?
1) The future exists
2) The Unknown exists...we just don't know it yet
I'm just waiting for someone to say "This thread is history" and close it. =\
Depending on what definition you go on, history could mean recorded events, so if you chose things from before recorded history, that may work.
Interesting. Anything exists with a history. The unknown is a door that hasn't opened yet. Eventually, it will take its course as fast it's history shall become. That's pretty wise to think of.
The predictions and movies about the future are history, not the future itself. I win.Quote:

how hard is it to find 3 things thats has nothing to do with history
impossible
omg, mirage is right, the future itself has no history
Why don't you come up with 3 things?Quote:

yeah, but wut other 2 things?
2? you haven't got one to reduce it from 3.
well?
well give up. there is not 1 thing that does not have a history or is linked by history. it's a trick question for your history teacher to show you how important history is.
The concept of future has a backstory but the future that has yet to exist does not.Quote:

Something that has yet to be invented.
Since school most likely just started, this is obviously a trick question. The teacher is trying to show the class that EVERYTHING has to do with history. He/She wants y'all to think that history is more important than every other subject.
And it's not.Quote:

But it will exist and thus isn't a concept or a theory since it will happen. What will happen 10 minutes from now? I don't know but I know something will happen in 10 minutes for sure. It is the future.Quote:

it doesnt bcuz no one can heer it
It'll create the sound vibrations that make it possible to be heard.Quote:

There really isn't suppose to be a definite answer to the question as it is how you interrpert it. I am sure Cloud No. 9 got that which is why Cloud didn't make a follow up post as we seemed to have agreed to disagree.
............. 2 things?
3 things that have nothing to do with history?
1.... solar flare destroying planet.
2.... my next bowel movement
3.... the fact that I'm planning to learn tap-dancing while showering
wow, u r really smart......im serious........thtz it.........uve done it!!!!!!!!!
thtz it, i done my hw :)
actually i just never got round to the follow up. "But it will exist and thus isn't a concept or a theory since it will happen. What will happen 10 minutes from now? I don't know but I know something will happen in 10 minutes for sure. It is the future." actually there is no gurantee that anything will happen. the universe may collapse upon itself in 9 minutes 59 seconds and time and space will no longer exist.
as for the tree in the woods. sound is a perception.it is how we perceieve the vibration of air particles. it only exists once it is heard as sound. otherwise it is merely air vibrations and not sound.
and rocks
1) You are wrong since over a day passed from when I said that. So something did happen 10 minutes from then :D Also I don't believe the universe will ever collapse so I can throw that theory out the windowQuote:

2) That is your opinion and is not fact. You have just proven my point that it is perception and that there is no real answer. There are those that say it still makes a sound and those that say what you say and those that say 'if no one is there then how do we know the tree was ever really there or that it fell?' There is no answer. Just more questions.
Does History have a history?
umm...
What about photons?
Time Travelers? Think about it. If they are from the future, so they don't even exist in the time period they visit until they show up there. Heck, our time traveller won't even be born until after he shows up. If none of the events of his life have happened yet, he has a future, not a history. He will be born. He will build a time machine. He will become his own grandfather (just kidding). See nothing about him has already happened.
Time wouldn't have a history either.
Well, how about something that doesn't exist? Like mythological creatures. The people who made them up are a part of history, as are the people who believed they existed, but the *creatures themselves*, having never been, do not have to do with history.
Someone made them up, therefore they do have something to do with history...like witches for example...the very thought of them caused many people to be killed due to a hysteria around them...you can't say that has nothing to do with history.
Only that which doesn't exsist in any way, shape or form, including thought, can be said to have nothing to do with history, which means naming three of these things is impossible.
Boy, you all are all making this much harder than it actually is. You all seem to be focusing on the definition of history that is synonomous with the past. Why? Like most words in the English language, history has multiple definitions. Among those is "events of the past which are written down" (in fact, that is one of the oldest definitions). So to get things unrelated to history, all you need to do is find some past event that has not been recorded.
"Know thy loopholes."
But if it hasn't been recorded then how do you know it happened? DUN DUN DUN!
That's what I meant when I said recorded. I know I have plenty of memories which have never been written down.Quote:

The last thing of course is the future.
BTW if you are actually going to write those, you had better be in a mood to get whatever mark, because I'm sure your history teacher is trying to show you the importance of history.
Give it up.
"A beam of light starts and ends with no change in time -- at the speed of light time stops to nothing."
but to everything on the outside world it does have a history. like ths sun rays take 7 minutes to reach us. so between those rays starting at the sun and us seeing them a time and history has passed.
Farting.
