This was the sky right before a thunderstorm from my back yard. It was the freakiest thing I've seen in a long time I mean the sky was just plain red  What do you think of it?

It usually means you'll have sunny weather tomorrow.
How can that be? :confused:Quote:

I dont know, its an old saying but its usually true whenever I see one of those skies so there must be some science to it.Quote:

The red sun rises... blood has been shed tonight.
/Legolas :p
Red sky at night, shepherds delight. Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning.
It looks like a regular sky at sunset to me o_O
thats exactly what it looked like where I live just before that mega hugo storm.
I took a pic with my phone. It was soooooo weird!!
Then all the power went while I was watching Big Brother (no lose there then)
Kagga
That was when we could see thunder. The storms lasted like 2 hoursQuote:

That means aliens are coming.
What's wrong with double posting? I have to reply to some poeple's posts right? What do you mean that it's been proven ??? It was at the biggining of a thunderstorm.Quote:

I was just trying to help you out. Now I'll stop mini-modding :)
I only just found I today about what they meant about and I don't see why they don't like it. Yeah I am gonna stop double posting since I now know what you mean. Don't know why though. Also I don't think mods like huge fontQuote:

Just old sayings. They have no scientific relevance.
Here's a cool sky. (attached).
Stop talking about boring stuff and quote my post and write something funny.
We have a thing called edit post here... But don't be discouraged and leave, become a well-trained [strike]slave[/strike]newb and we'll love you.
By the way, that sky actually means that that was your one chance to revive Aeris.
I'm a goy. I can make my own babies ^_^Quote:

I saw a sky like that once. I was in australia and we had a huge (HUGE!!!!!) storm and just before the sky was black. I thought the apocolypse had come ^_^Quote:

Is that scientific?Quote:

You wouldn't be saying that if you were thereQuote:

Looks like a pretty sunset to me. In some places during, before, or after a storm, everything just kinda glows yellowish. It's pretty.
I see the sun red every evening. Its called sunset.
it could mean were all gonna die
Maybe im wrong, but the changing of the color of the sky at sunset/sunrise is a naturally common occurance. As far as I know its caused by the refraction of the rays of light due to the position of the sun on the horizon... ???
In english: Our atmospher is full of water vapor. Its refracts the light that passes through it (much like a prism). Thus we see a blue sky. When the sun is rising/setting, The angle the sun is at creates the strange but beautiful colors we see. The diferent angels give different colors.
Once again maybe im wrong, but thats what i always thought it was. The question i would ask is what time of day was it?
Probably.Quote:

...and what a nice sunny day it is, God. good job! you already have a 9.0, throw in a horror movie tonight and you get a full 10.Quote:

It does -- those aren't natural sky colours, unlike grey and black, which are natural sky colours.
I get a veiw like that every sunset, except there's a forest of buildings.
That's kind of weird. Especially how your backyard looks identical to my backyard.
Skies like that are very common where I live... and usually the day after it is beautiful out. Usually.
