Some help finding monsters and items in FFVIII

I seriously need some help finding different monsters and items too. The first monster is the Malboro. :confused:

Ok, I guess not.

Malboros can be found in Grandidi Forest (northest part of the map) or the plains of Esthar (once you gain access to Esthar).

now I need to find an item - Adamantine

There are several ways to get one.

The simplest is the boss fight against the machine BGH251F2. You can mug an Adamantine from it.

Level 30 or better Adamantoises (they look like giant turtles) will drop them as well. Look for them on the beach near Dollet.

You can refine a Minotaur card into 10 Adamantines.

They can be found in the Tomb of the Unknown King, right? I'm not too sure, I'm on Disc 3 in one game and Disc 4 iin another.

You might be thinking of Armadodos. But if you haven't defeated the brothers Minotaur and Sacred in the Tomb, you should. They give you the Minotaur card if you win.

elnoyle=pulse ammo. even cards i'm pretty sure. find a buncha cards or fight the elnoyles in esthar, and while ur at it, draw a buncha pain spells. :D

One Energy Crystal refines into 10 Pulse Ammos.

One Power Generator refines into 20 Pulse Ammos.

It junctions well to Mag, Spr, and Luck, but Ultima junctions better. I prefer Pain in Stat-Def or Stat-Atk, so you can either guard against or inflict three status ailments at once. :D

i find elnoyles really fun to fight.

oh, something else... I want to make sure that Angelo knows everything, what all does it learn?

For real fun try junctioning 100 Deaths to Stat-Atk. You can do one hit kills on Elnoyles.

Another good spot for Marlboros is the Island Closest to Heaven.

Adamantoises are found on longhorn island, on the southeastern most beach (which, as mentioned earlier, is near Dollet).

Pain, definitely serves you best junctioned to Status-Def, as it protects you against poison, silence and blind. Also junction Berserk, Confuse and Sleep to status defense, and you've got your defence against Marlboro's Bad Breath attack.

There's a dude in Esthar, who if you talk to (after the lunar cry), it results in a battle with an Elnoyle. Fight him to wear down his hp, then card him. You should get some energy crystals, and of course the Elnoyle card. Get 10 of these card, and they also will refine into 1 additional energy crystal. As mentioned earlier, one of these will refine into 10 Pulse Ammos.

I assume you must be going for Squall's Lionheart! I feel your pain! I was also doing this, the other day. :p
