...tell me some decent games for it.
Besides the obvious.
obvious ones are obvious for a reason.
Yeah, because I've already got them.
oooh a gamecube and games. well there's that game were you roll things up on a ball. twin snakes. umm...... i don't know much else.
the GC Spiderman 2 is great fun
I got that for PS2. But, yeah.
Tales of Symphonia
Super Mario Sunshine
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Baten Kaitos
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords
Resident Evil 4
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Er, there's more, probably, but that's all that comes to mind, obvious or not.
Whoa, Baten Kaitos actually looks pretty good. Thanks man.
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
- Metroid Prime
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (was a promotional item but these days you can find it on retailer shelves anyway)
- Viewtiful Joe
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Eternal Darkness sounds good.
I'm particularily looking for a game akin to Dark Cloud for the PS2.
Well Hello Kitty Rollar Rescue came out....
Seriously though. Besides the obvious Nintendo stuff (i.e. Zelda, Metroid, Paper Mario, Animal Crossing) and the games mentioned before...
Games with an * are GC exclusives.
FF: Crystal Chronicles* (if that isn't obvious)
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life*
Soul Calibur II
Viewtiful Joe
Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast* was fun
Star Wars Rouge Squardon* series
Medal of Honor: Frontline
Def Jam: Fight for NY
Mortal Kombat: Defiance
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
Timesplitters: Future Perfect
Star Fox Adventures*
Star Fox Assault* (might wanna rent it first though)
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Tony Hawk: Underground 2
Phantasy Star Online: Episode I and II*
If you're into these kinda games...Phantasy Star Online: Episode III C.A.R.D Revolution*
Timesplitters 2
Beyond Good and Evil
Gladius
Skies of Arcadia
Lord of the Rings
FF:CC and PSO may be the closest games to Dark Cloud gameplay. Maybe Star Fox: Adventures.
That's some good work there Sephy. I'll be trying them all.
It's not something I'd recommend to everyone, but I have/had a blast with F-Zero GX.
You might also want to pick up Prince of Persia if you don't already have it for another console.
Which I do. But don't worry about recommeding stupid games. I know nothing about the GC and I want some fun.Quote:

It's not very intuitive. The controls are so sensitive that I really didn't want to play it anymore after the first race, but once I got used to it, I kept playing for the sense of speed. And I'm not even really that into racing games.Quote:

Anyway, you all suck.
Killer7.
Even if you've played or have the PS2 version, the GC version is how it SHOULD be played.
Capcom Vs SNK 2
Sonic Gems Collection
Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes
Sonic Gems is, rather unfortunately, awful.
Well, it would be if it didn't have Sonic CD, though JUST Knuckles Chaotix would have been better than the plethora of sub-par Master System/Game Gear games.
They were gonna have Streets of Rage (I think, whatever that good beat 'em up series was) games on there but those were slashed for the American release in place of Vectorman to keep it rated E =/
So yeah, Gamecube, great system, listen to these people.
Resident evil 1 is damn amazing. Much better that the repetitive resident evil 4.
Hmmm, I don't think I can reccomend anything that hasn't been suggested already. I don't have many gems in my collection. Anything that has the word "Capcom" on the box somewhere is worth owning though.
I'm going to open myself up for criticism here and say that Crystal Chronicals is NOT a killer app. It's fun, but it feels like it's just slightly sub-par on the fun-o-meter. 4 Swords is a much better game, and it's a very similar concept.
SSBM, anything Resident Evil, 4 Swords, Viewtiful Joe, and StarfoxArmadaAssault are my biggest reccomendations. Get Soul Calibur 2 if you like, it's pretty fun, but it takes a lot of patience to really learn.
Whatever you do buy, do NOT under ANY circumstances tough Starfox Adventures or WWE Day Of Reckoning. Those are the video game equivalent of getting goatse'd or tub girl'd.
Star Fox Assault, actually, although you could be forgiven for making that mistake since during development it was called everything from Star Fox to Star Fox 2 to Star Fox: Xtreme Space Fighterz.Quote:

How about OMG OFF TOPIC!!!!!!!!!1111 ^.^V
I don't know why I didn't think to add this before, but anything with "Legacy of Kain" written on it is also probably gonna be awesome. I also liked Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion and Wind Waker a lot, but I wouldn't consider them quite as "must have" as games of their franchise ought to be. No NES collection was complete without Super Mario Bros. 1 2 and 3. Many GC collections seem to be complete without Mario Sunshine. Go figure. Still a fun game though. Think Mario 64 with a water pack.
Unless you have a joystick and arent stupid dont buy CvsS2 for GC and use GCism...its retarded...omg final atomic buster like so easy >>;

Yep, get the Jedi Knight and the Rogue Squadron series. They are -the- games for GC.
Paper Mario =D Even if it is obvious. =P
Its a kiddy DWQuote:

Animal Crossing. I thought my wife was insane when she wanted that game but it turned out to be one of the most diabolical addictive games I have ever played in my 20 years of gaming.
It should. It's basically a GameBoy Advance that outputs to your TV instead of a small LCD and accepts a GC controller.Quote:
