READ ME BEFORE POSTING: Advent Children FAQ (Updated 11-21-05)

When is it coming out in [insert your country outside of Japan]?
It hasn't been announced yet.

Update - The North American release has been set at 01/10/06.

Is it coming out in theaters?
No theatrical release is planned outside of Japan.

I heard it's only coming out on UMD for PSP!
You got lied to. It's coming out on DVD and UMD.

Is it going to be in English or Japanese with subtitles?
It will be released with English voice acting.

Was the movie leaked?
Yes.

Can you give me a link to it/can I post a link to it?
No. Any requests or links to the movie will be removed.

Yeah, this release date is annoying. Several sites say Sept 14, and the Japan date is today, according to the Japan site. Wikipedia says it was pushed back to sometime in November or October. The American official website has no useful info on release dates. You guys say it's not announced, yet. I'm so confused. Oh, and the adventchildren.net server is screwing up just when I need it to see what they're last news says, so that's frustrating.

OMG, is it out in 5 hours or 29 hours or what????????????

Square should make a clear announcement, like in the official trailer, and then stick to it instead of pushing it back and forth and thinking about thanksgiving sales and confusing the heck out of American fans. Did they change the official trailer? I could have sworn it said 18th, but I just checked it again and it says 14, but that's Japan.

Erg, this is worse than FFIX. November 15 or 16 was with FFIX or something. But with AC, this is ridicolous; they're not even sure.

On amazon.com, the release date listed now is January 10, 2006. I got all worked up, thinking it was November, but now it's January, but it might still BE November, no one knows what's going on, blah blah blah. MAD irritating.

They'll probably lip-sync the characters properly for English as well as adding the English voice overs.

I have seen the movie

I have the movie on a dvd with english subtitles, THE MOVIE IS AWSOME!!!!!!! To view the spoiler about the movie highlight past the part saying spoiler thx.(SPOILER)I found it somewhere but idont want to say it starts off with a helicopter and the turks, lets just say that sepheroith comes back near the end, and their is 3 new brothers of cloud. Weapon also comes back and they have a cool battle sceen too. You do see Zack and Aeris again, but aint tellin how. Well the movie is great and Rufus is still alive and holds a secret with him about Jenova. 10 out of 10 but this movie when it comes out in the u.s of a.

Actually Horton, Its Bahamut not Weapon. I thought that too but Weapon is not a summon. And for some reason, the guy (I forget his name) uses a blue coloured Materia to summon it.

Actually it's a green Materia (heck green is for magic, that should have been red)... His name is Kadaj... He uses a katana/kodachi with two blades... The other two are Yazoo (one with the GunBlade?) and Loz (one who fought with Tifa)...

it's a gorgeous flashy movie. :) 20 minutes of talk and the rest of is duking it out with everyone else:) near perfect direction, and even non-fans, though they won't love love it, will think it's cool. something tells me it's too big to be kept on DVD version (but too close-market storywise to have a theatrical release) :)

i wonder how far the movie will match the actual FF7 game...FF7 is a 3-disc huge storyline which cannot be viewed in an 1,5 hour movie....
I an a great FF7 fan, but I hope the movie doesn't dissappoint me. I live in the Netherlands (Europe) and I believe no official release is out yet...

Why is everyone still on about the Jan 10th address? It was long stated that the date was pushed to March, due to Square wanting a limited theatrical release. There was even a thread about it.
