I'd say that my fave is Vincent or Sephiroth, although Cloud is close. Vincent is just cool, and Sephiroth... Eight foot long sword, ability to destroy planets etcetra. Score!

it comes close between cloud and cid, but cloud probably tips it. its just so much easier to keep ur hp high tahn it is ur mp with ultimate weapons
Cid's absolutely awesome. I just love his attitude, the whole cigarette in a mounth thing, the way he runs (yeah guys, the way he runs) and also, he's an excellent fighter.
Not only that, but he was a frog as I defeated Safer Sephiroth, and then amgically transformed himself back into a normal person for the ending sequence. Only Cid could do that!
Cid. He's funny, swears alot, runs funny, and has a spear (not that that really matters but its just cool).
Cid rules for obvious reasons.
Why has no one mentioned Sephiroth?

I like cid for his temper but cloud had the buster sword so....
Cait Sith. He's underrated as a character in battle and has one of the better backgrounds/storylines. But that's my opinion.

out of all the characters, i like Cloud, Yuffie and Cid, for their Limits have a lot of potential.. however, i'm starting to like Aeris and Tifa too (After putting alot of work into raising them)

The character I despise the most is Hojo. I just played the part where you go by the icicle town, and watched the Professor Gast videos... man I hate Hojo... badly.

Reno is awesome. Not only is he lazy, hes also a bada$$. He also has probably the best outfit in the game imho.
Tseng is really cool as well. Hes got that no-nonsense approach to his job and hes always calm and collected. His attitude and personality are some of the most realistic in the game. His scenes in Last Order: Final Fantasy VII, the anime about the adventure of cloud and zach, were awesome.
I guess i just really like the turks.
