Really? I didn't know it.
Sora means sky in japanese.
ur thinking of SARA
they just took the a and made an o to make it look cooler
(if sora means sky than why didnt they name him Skye?)
Becuas ethe people who named him were japanese.Quote:

you know what?.......guess first.
I believe it's a unisex name in Japan. And if it's not unisex, it's not stopping them from using it as one. Sometimes anime likes to give male characters female names, not that surpising video games would do it, but I think Sora would probably be a boy's name if it's not unisex, it seems more common to name boys that.
Sora is for girls and guys. 'Cause there's
Sora from Escaflowne-Girl
Sora from Digimon-Girl
Sora from .Hack-Boy
Sora from Kingdom Hearts-Boy
:)
Guess what? Chicken butt! Bwahahahahaha!
when my sister first saw the tralier thing for Kingdom Hearts, when Sora floats down in the water, she swore he was a girl! i mostly bought the game just to shove it in her face and go "ha! shes a he!! told you so!"!
I know a girl named Sora... that help? >.< first I though that Sora was name for girls, but when I saw it on kingdom hearts...
they shoulda named him
Sor\Zor
thats way cooler
How interesting. In Kingdom Hearts, Kairi is a girl, but in the STREET FIGHTER EX series of games, Kairi is a man.
Welcome to the world of unisex names. Thousands exist in the world. Especially in Japan where one word can have many meanings.
Also, there's the Japanese use of English names, which can make them different due to pronunciation (Kiley pronouned by a Japanese person would sound like Kairi, etc).
Anyway, Sora, Riku, and Kairi have complimentary names. Sora means Sky, Riku means Shore, and Kairi refers to a Nautical Mile so it references the Sea. Sky, Shore, and Sea.
Wow. Even MORE interesting.
kool! didnt know that
I always thought it was a chicks name, because i always watched Digimon, and there's a chick named Sora in that XD But now i know, I guess it can be unisex.

haley is the boy in second hand lions. i dont like him because he was in A.I. and that was the sadest movie I ever saw. i sobed:( :weep: :crying: :crying2: :whimper:
First off, Haley Joel Osmet is a boy, and one of the best child actors in Hollywood. Secondly, many many child video game/cartoon characters are voice by women, because boys have lighter voices when they're younger. Bart Simpson is voiced by a woman, get over it.Quote:

Ash from Pokemon was voiced by a gal

As I said, many cartoon children are dubbed by girls. There arent many grown men who sound like little boys, and thank goodness for that xD
Check it out for yourselves, even. imdb.com has listings, look up your favorite young cartoon character. Plus it's always very interesting to see what other voice work they've done (like Rikku from FFX having also voices Bubbles from PowerPuff Girls).

Yes, I figured you were making a childish attempt to be insulting given that you were wrong about the 'omfg Haley Joel Osmet is a girl!' deal, hence my sarcastic reply.Quote:

Doesn't that woman do Timmy Turner aswell?
She does a whole lot. Check out her IMDB listing. She's the master of voice acting I guess xD

Unisex: designating, of, or involving a fashion, as in garments, hairstyles, etc., that is undifferentiated for the sexes.Quote:
