there arent any other ways other than pausing the game after however many and then go back to it later
it will take you 30 minutes to complete it in one go
a good method to succeed is to stay close to the towers
run out dodge 10 bolts, run back in and save.
Save often so if you do get hit
Doesn't the lightening bolt counter reset once you save?
nope
u just have to dodge 200 bolts without getting hit
so saving doesnt apply to that rule
I thought that the counter was reset if you leave the area, save or go into the travel agency.
i dont think so
just if you leave i think
I think it does reist cuz that happend to me XP
......
prove it.....
everyone leave gunblade alone, poor guy
anyway, go north from the agency onto the next screen. go up a bit then U turn onto the path that goes to the south area. take like one step onto this path and u'l be in an area where they strike like twice in 2 secs then thers a 3-4 sec gap then repeat. i suggest u do it all in one go. after about 30-40 u get into a rhythm.
P.S. i once got 198 n got hit. feel sory for me :(
*pokes with fork* now i feel sorry for you.Quote:

I read in one of the guides that if you save, the counter resets. But i have no idea. I dont think it reset mine but im not sure.
Doesn't FFX have difficulty settings or something? If it does, when you do like a hard game, don't you have to go back to the beginning after only getting hit once or something?
I think I'm getting confused.
But what I did, is I just stayed a few seconds under the cover of the rod towers, then quickly ran through it. Took me only one try. I just...well...just got hit by them and kept going while going for cover and going different directions.

I always hated this too until I finally got it.
My version?
Wait until a thunderstormy night. When it subsides so that the power wont' go off, fire up the ps2 and head to the thunder plains with encounter-none.
Have someone there reading a newspaper or amgazine or something. Then after about ten or fifteen minutes of dodging bolts, you can talk to them and get your nerve back. Repeat until finished. You'll be done in 30 minutes at most.
I do the 50 dodges then pause strategy, but I also like to throw in a few "extra credit" dodges each time. That means I dodge about 5-10 more bolts after the first 50 just to ensure that I haven't counted too low. It also helps bring your total up in case you get hit at number 198 or something. It is pretty nerve wracking, but in practice it's not all that difficult. I've fared far worse with the chocobo race so far.
chocobo race is easy lightning dodging on the other hand.
just north of the first tower is a spot wich has a nice rythem 2 strikes with one second in between 3 secs pauze then the saem thing again
199 sniffle
man 199 thats bad *holds tailz and comforts him*
i dont think the lightning bolts are hard just annoying and time consuming
wouldn t it be awesoem if the lightning burned Yunas clothes off
ah ah ah i mean uh.....u didnt hear annnnnnnnnnnnything...:shifty:
I don't see why it had to be 200, 150 seems like a perfectly reasonable number.
Because 150 would be too easy. 200 is barely difficult.
cmon spit it out *stabs witih a plastic knife*Quote:
