C.S.I. EOFF

MEAT PUPPET HAS BEEN MURDERED! :mad:

At 9:50 PM the Eyes On Police Department recieved a call from Kikimm saying that Meat Puppet had been murdered in his home yesterday. Upon arriving at the scene police found Meat Puppet's dead body with a hoe (the garden utensil :p) stuck out of his forhead. His left cheek had a lipstick smear on it. With the Ciddies coming up soon Psychotic is the primary suspect. Meat Puppet giving him the most competition it's easy to see how Psy would want to take him out. Psychotic says he spent the whole day with Loony BoB, but unfortunately Loony BoB is out of town and unavailable for comment (at least he was when I started planning this). With him gone Psy has no evidence he isn't the murderer and will be sentenced to prison. Taking his side is you, the Eyes On Detective. To keep Psy out of jail you will have to figure out who the real murderer is.

Okay, this is how it works. I have certain people set up as being connected with Meat Puppet. Each of them saw Meat Puppet the day of his murder. It is your job as a detective to question these people about the events of that day and figure out what really happened. Keep in mind that the murderer isn't going to be honest about what really happened and you might need to question people more than once when new information is discovered. A good place to start would be to PM his neighbor Old Manus. You have one week to figure this out and then I will post the results in this thread. When you think you know the answer DO NOT post it in this thread. PM me with it and also let me know if you thought this was too easy or too hard to figure out. Have fun.

I was wondering that myself. Right after I posted the thread someone PM'd me saying it was Jebus :eyebrow: I just want to say that when you do PM me I'm not going to tell you if your right or not. You'll have to wait until next Monday to find the answer. Just remember you only get one guess so if you guess wrong you'll be sending the wrong person to jail. It would help to write the things people tell you down so you can keep track of what's what. Only one person will be lying about certain things.I hope they're all doing good jobs with their roles :)

I don't see why anyone would have to PM Old Manus more than once. He just tells you what he saw that day and that's that :p It's not like you can't look back at your PM to cross-reference information :shrug:

These are the roles I assigned to each person involved:

OLD MANUS

Your his neighbor. At noon that day you saw him and his other neighbor Cl_out arguing because Cl_out had borrowed his hoe (the garden utensil ) a week ago and not brought it back yet. While they were arguing Kikimm and Boris No No came over to Meat Puppets house. At 6 PM you saw leeza show up at Meat Puppets house wearing red lipstick. Right after that you saw Kikimm and Boris No No leaving and heard Leeza and Meat Puppet start to argue. Saw them leave together at 6:30. At 8 PM you left home and didn' see anything else. When people question you just let them know what you saw.

There's really no reason to suspect Old Manus. He was just the gateway personel used to find out who was all involved.

CLOUT

At noon you and Meat Puppet were arguing because you had borrowed his hoe (the garden utensil ) a week ago and hadn't returned it yet. While you were arguing Kikimm and Boris No No showed up to help Meat puppet decorate for Halloween. At 6 PM you saw Leeza show up wearing red lipstick. At 8:10 you went to give Meat Puppet his hoe back but he wasn't home so you left it on his doorstep. At 8:15 you saw Boris arrive at his house.

I wouldn't mention arguing with Meat Puppet unless they ask you about that cause then that gives you a motive to murder him.

Cl_out could be a murder suspect at first, but after questioning everyone else it's pretty easy to see he's innocent. His clue that he saw Boris go to MP's house at 8:15 is key to solving the mystery.

KIKIMM

You and Boris No No went to Meat Puppets house at noon to help him decorate for Halloween. When you showed up Meat Puppet and his neighbor Cl_out were arguing about a hoe (the garden utensil ) that Cl_out had borrowed a week ago and hadn't brought back yet. They stopped after you showed up and then the 3 of you started to decorate. That day you were a little upset because Meat puppet was giving Boris a lot of attention when he usually gives it to you instead. At 6 PM Leeza showed up for her date with Meat Puppet. You and Boris left in a hurry because Leeza looked upset you two were there. While you were leaving you heard her and Meat Puppet start to argue. Since you were in a hurry to leave you left your purse at Meat Puppets house. After you left you went home (You and Boris live together). At 6:30 PM you left home telling Boris you were going to Meat Puppets to get your purse back. You were wearing red lipstick. Really, you were going to Ultima Shadow's house, but you kinda want to keep that a secret (kinda like teh secret boyfriend thing that your embarressed about). Before you left you noticed that Boris had her Cell Phone with her. You got there at 6:45 and then left at 8:30 heading for Meat Puppets house. Made it to Meat Puppets at 8:45. You found him dead in his house with a hoe stuck in his forhead. You went to a phone to call the cops. When you got back Leeza and Boris were at the house. Boris said she came over cause she left her cellphone at Meat Puppets when you two left in a hurry.

Sounds like a lot, but really it isn't. When people question you try not to give out too much information at once so the detectives maybe have to come and question you twice For instance, dno't mention that you were wearing red lipstick that night or that you noticed Boris had her cell phone with her before you left home at 6:30 unless they ask you about them. Don't mention that you were really going to Shad's house when you left home right away either unless people are accusing you of the murder and they want to know why it took from 6:30 to 8:45 to get to Meat Puppets house and want to know what you were doing in that time. You might not want to mention right away that you were upset at Meat Puppet giving Boris attention instead of you cause that gives you a motive to murder him.

Kikimm would be a prime suspect for the murder, but being at Ultima Shadows house gives her a solid aliby. Her seeing Boris with her phone before leaving to Shad's house is a key clue in pinning Boris.

ULTIMA SHADOW

All you have to do is say that Kikimm showed up at your house at 6:45 PM and she left at 8:30 PM if asked.

The proof that Kikimm was innocent. I wonder if anyone got that far?

LEEZA

That day you arrived at Meat Puppets house at 6 PM for a date. You were wearing red lipstick. When you got there Kikimm and Boris No No were there. You were a little upset about them being there and they left in a hurry. While they were leaving you and Meat Puppet were in a little bit of an argument. You two left for your date at 6:30. You had a fun date. At 8 PM you and MP split up after your date. You left with a kiss. At 9PM you went back to Meat Puppets house and found him already dead. Boris No No was there and right after you showed up Kikimm showed up saying she had just called the cops.

When the detectives ask about the day you might not want to mention arguing with Meat Puppet unless they ask about it because that gives you a motive to be the murderer. Also, don't mention that you were wearing red lipstick and kind of forget that you left him with a kiss unless asked about it. That way they have to do a little more work to figure out who the murderer was and maybe have to ask you questions twice.

Leeza could be a suspect, but with enough detective work more evidence points towards Boris.

YOU MURDERED MEAT PUPPET!

Let's try to keep it a secret.

At noon you and Kikimm went to Meat Puppet's house to help decorate for Halloween. At 6:30 Kikimm leaves home wearing red lipstick. She said she was going to get her purse back from Meat Puppet's house. At 8 PM you left home to go to Meat Puppets again. Get there at 8:30 as Meat Puppet get's home with a lipstick smear on his cheek. Find a hoe on the front doorstep and stick it in his forhead (for some reason). You left to clean up and realize that you dropped your cell phone at Meat Puppet's when you killed him. Go back to get it. While your there Leeza shows up and then Kikimm shows up saying she's already called the cops.

You don't want people knowing you killed MP so we have to manipulate events. Make sure you tell everyone that MP and Cl_out were arguing over the hoe and that's what killed him. Also that him and Leeza were arguing when you left and that he was found with a lipstick smear and Kikimm was wearing lipstick. If she left at 6:30, why did she not get there until after you had killed him? Tell everyone that you left your cellphone at MP's leaving in a rush after Leeza got there like how Kikimm left her purse.

Can I get some feedback now? What did you think of this? Was it too easy or too hard? If too hard, can you say what was too hard about it? Maybe you needed more time to figure it out? Do you think how I just told each person their role of what they did that day? It makes it more realistic like a real person would only know their side of the story. Do you think I should tell everyone involved everybodies role so that they have a better idea of what's going on, even though it's not as realistic like that? Would it be better if I typed out everyone's general role in the thread and then left you to question each of them about the details of exactly what happened? For those with roles, what did you think? Did you understand your part well enough. How could I make this better for when I do it again?

I thought you did it all extremely well. I had a lot of fun with it. xD As someone who had a role, I thought it was better that you only told us what WE did; telling us what everyone did would probably confuse at least me, and...it feels like that would overcomplicate it all. I felt like I understood my part well enough; it's just that I had to improvise a lot of the answers to some questions that I was asked that really didn't matter. So maybe, next time...don't give out the entire role of someone's in the thread, but the general idea? I don't know. I don't think I'm making sense anymore.

Anyways, you did a great job. Seriously. We need more stuff like this.

I don't think that really mattered much. It was more of a Meat Puppet spending time with two other girls while they were going out kind of thing. No matter the reason. Weirdo girls and your jealousy ;)

I think I understand what you mean. With this one I tried to just give out the facts and then ways to help it progress with the paragraph underneath. Maybe the the facts next time?

I think this was very neatly done. However, if you want to make more suspension next time, you can pull a CSI:LV, and reveal new evidence along the way. like "omg the victim has just been to the forensics and it turns out the cause of murder was drowning and not leukemia! :eek:" or whatever. It was really fun to read through, I just have one question...

It seems like reading through your spoiler post that there was no clue towards Psychotic killing Meat Puppet. I think it would have been nice if there was some evidence towards him it might have been better (though it was great!). Also if you do a bunch more of these maybe making the suspect that we try to get off actually being the criminal. But this would only work if you gave evidence pointing towards him and didn't do it much.

And though I don't think this would ever be necessary but if you need someone who's on a bunch and you would take a noob (few months) I of course would be willing to have a roll. *makes Bambi eyes*

One of the detectives PM'd me saying they wanted to search the murder site. I told them that when the police arrived at 9:20 the body was already cold so it had been dead at least an hour. Also that two female hairs were found near the body . Sort of what you mean, but the next one will definately have that. I considered it for this one after I had worked everythign out and didn't feel the need to change what I already had.

Again, I considered that ,but decided the ciddies motive was good enough because I didn't want to change what I had. The accused could of course be guilty in any of the future ones.
