i got some hairgel, and i tried usin it, cept it turned out all messy. can anyone give me tips on how to use it porperly?

Here's a tip on how to use hair gel: Don't. It's a waste of time and money and it's hard to get it right.

I went through a hair gel phase. The stuff is great really, it makes hair look all wet and shiney. The trick is to put it on hair that's wet, but not soaking wet, and use enough of it too. Then it should look real keen.

Hairgel is kinda useless unless you want to spike your hair.

1. Put some gel in one hand and rub your hands together so you have an equal amount of gel in one hand.
2. Distribute evenly into hair.
3. Spike.

I hadnt used it for weeks but I started using it again over the holidays. Try putting hair moose in your hair first and then applying gel. Then run a thin comb through your hair pulling it all back to gather the excess hair gel and moose so you're not using too much. Then just style ithowever youwant. Thats what I usually do. Doesnt take long.

Or, just don't use it at all.

You should only use wax for short hair or not at all. Wax feels disgusting and doesnt wash out properly with normal shampoo.

Depends what stuff you use, the stuff I use works well and washes out with a good 5 min rinse with good shampoo and maybes conditioner.


The thing with wax is, you can restyle your hair.

Just don't touch Wax sticks, now they do hell.

i dont think i got any hair moose, will it still work with jus gel?

I'd recommend you do use moose, it's just like weak gel but it's alot cleaner and less messy. Use Moose then the gel like Destai said.

I dont use hairgel. It makes you look like you have dangruff when it gets dry.

Unless you wash your hair.

Gently rub it in your eyes, that's its secondary use. Make sure you put that to good use:)

Try super glue for a firmer hold.

Gel is for pussies. Real men use syrup

Scoop about a spoonfull onto your hands and spread it between your palms. then run your hands throgh your hair. Repeat it from different angles until its all covered in a little gel. then pull it up in chunks and dry with a hair dryer. If you want it to be more strong spray it with some extra strong hairspray. Should take about three minutes tops.
If you want just experiment in front of your mirror for a while. Try varying your type of gel too.
