Block out cloud for a sec... cause you cant replace him with another character (i so would).
Yuffie: I really started to get into her type of combat mechanics once I done the Wu-Tai pagoda sub-quest and her throwing star is sweet as!
Nanaki: ... you really cant dislike this dude.... he OWNZ! in combat.
Plotline team: Tifa and Vincent
Powerhouse team: Cid and Barret/Yuffie
Current team: Cait Sith and Red XIII. They're the only ones I haven't used through choice in all my time of playing this game.
Pretty much ever time i've ever played this game (About 15 times now), no matter how hard I try to use different people, I always end up with Barret and Red XIII. Only one save file I have is where I used Yuffie instead.
I've realy only used Tifa and Nanaki. the only other time i used different characters was the first time i played, which was Barret and Nanaki. Gota have Nanaki.:D
i always use tifa and on my first playthrough(which i completed.) i used barret. on my second(which i am close to the end with.) i used vincent. i cant decide whos better.
Tifa and Cid
The team I used most often was Cloud, Tifa and Cid.
I always use Yuffie, and I try to rotate in the other characters, although I generally prefer Red XIII or Cid.
Cloud, Tifa, Barret.

tifa, gets amazing once her limits start to pile up, since she does all of them in sequence
vincent 'cause his lasts all battle by the end when everyone takes out 9999 this no longer matters, but he helps pull things together 'til tifa reaches her max potential. I used to like Red quite a bit
Tifa and Aeris, when Aeris left the party it was Tifa and Cid
Yuffie and Cid
Everytime I played through it I jus' used a different two everytime. Fav two though, Barret and Cid. Extreme power!

I lvl all of my charecters because I am a game perfectionist, but my two favorites have to be... Vincent and Nanaki
I always try as well, I beat FFVII like 5 times already... everyone at lvl 99 and over maxing the EXP points. they still go up after you max out lvls
My favorite characters are Barret and RedVIII:D
Vincent- he gose good with Ultama and he got nice limit breaks
Cid-has the E. Skill martra, good limits, nice attacks
definitely Cid and Barret (cloud of course as well)
because they have the best final limit breaks and that's really the only difference with the characters
THE JACKEL
Yuffie and Vincent.
Yuffie (because of the Conformer, Morph and the fact that damage is based on monster level) and Cid (Because of the groth in his weapons)
I'd go with Yuffie and Tifa. I like the idea of hot chicks kicking major enemy butt... :cool:
