Yes
Yes, hold my cat like a baby, and I call my dog my honey. I love them, and I guess I mother the cat more than anything.
I'm the Mummy :D
We all do have a "maternal" instinct in all of us. It comes out when necessary. When I was pregnant with my son, I had no idea what to do, or how to handle anything. As soon as he was born, I knew when he was hungry, what was upsetting him, everything. I think that men have a similiar "paternal" instinct, for lack of a better word. It might take a little more work than Mommie's, but its just as good.... :)
I father my pet.
nah, i don't see myself as a "maternal figure". i'm as close as a care-taker to the menagerie. the hamster and the two cats, they're really part of the family to begin with. the resident goldfish in my room has took the last of my free space...
I used to mother Taz before he died, but I don't have a pet now. :(
Not really. I mean, I love my pets and everything, but I don't always cuddle them and stuff. I am really protective over my younger cousins though.
I mother my pets, pots, and saucepans, and Clogs, and dogs, and mogs.
I smother my pets
I slobber my pets
Yeah, I mother my pet, and he likes it :)
Somewhat. :)
I father my mother.
I feed it, clean it, water it and when I want a cuddle it snarls and scratches me :(
No. I kick my Cat off the sofa every time I come home from work.
I love her, but it's my chair, dammit.
Then you should show it that cuddles are essential by showing them some nice food and only giving it to them once they have a cuddle.Quote:

All the pets ive ever had to tame quickly learned that if they are nice to me they get nice treats. Its never taken me more than five days to tame a pet thats aggressive towards me by using nice food to convince it to love me. So you may have to endure a few scratches or bites but in the end it will all be worth it.... unless you've got a pet lion or something that is.
If I remember correctly, KuRt, you keep a load of random animals in a bathtub in your living room...And you had a rat you accidentally stepped on one time...Quote:

I don't think I mother my pets. Everyone else in the family does, I just mainly think they're on the way.
I'm more keen on my friend's pets than my own. It's strange.
I call them ridiculous cutsey names and take good care of them but that's about it.
my cats refuse my love, so I dont give them any ..........
I repeatedly pick up my 85 lb. dog, throw him up in the air, and catch him, all while singing to him.
"Come on little baby don't say a word, Mama's gonna buy you a mocking bird..."
He enjoys it. I think.
If you were a cat, Chris, I would mother you... ;)
I can't say I mother them, but I do play with them a lot. My mom really mothers my dog, and my dad does the same with the cat. I try to keep them active by playing with them.
The cat poops on the floor too much and the dog is too dumb for me to be able to always be real cutesy with them.
I do mother my dog, but I can't cuddle him very often anymore. He's just too old and he smells. I do bath him, but he's got that old age smell.
Well no cuz ive only even had a fish. How do you mother a fish?
And it died too :(
I mother my cat. She's too cute! I can never let her down!:D
