ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think what most cosplayers forget to realize is that to strongly resemble a Japanese video game character... they'd have to look like they were Japanese... with colored eyes and light hair (what a paradox).
At least he got the stance right.

Cosplay's OK when they know it's a joke. When they're serious... well, if there good, it's OK, but if they're wearing a hand-made cardboard Gundam Wing costume, it tends to look a little... erm... silly.

She's famous for her Aeris cosplay. Her and that girly Cloud dude do a lot of conventions together and end up in a lot of pictures together. Dunno if they know each other outside the convention scene, but as far as cosplays go, they're quite well known. She's quite real. And I think she makes an excellent Aeris. In fact, some of her pictures almost look like they might have modeled the Advent Children Aeris off of her look. I'll have to find the pictures that made me think that and post them here. But they won't fit in, 'cause she doesn't DO bad cosplay XD

Maybe it's because I've always considered Cosplay to have the potential of artistic expression. Its the art of mimicing. Someone you'd say does a really good cosplay, well, I assume that means they pulled off the copy really well. It's hard to look like a person you're cosplaying if... well... you look nothing like them. Either you're 200 lbs heavier than them or you're the wrong gender. Its not a good mimic. That's my only problem. She doesn't make a good Aeris. Its not to say I hate the person behind the costume.
