Which compositions do you consider the best ever written by Nobuo Uematsu?

All of them are downright excellent, and provide an incredibly great atmosphere, especially the Prologue, my all-time favourite.
It's just so damn sweet, that melody along with those wonderful bass lines. =)

I just love that piano melody (Eternity) ! The rest of FFX 2 pretty much s*cks except for "1,000 words" but that one is great!
I could be wrong, but I don't think he composed anything for FFX-2. It certainly explains why the soundtrack is utter crap.Quote:

There are probably many more I'm not thinking of at the moment.
The opening one - Eternity - is not that bad. IMHO it is almost as good as "To Zanarkand", though a bit more repetitve, minimalist, Phillip Glass style.Quote:

Yeah, I'll agree the Piano at the beginning is pretty good, but I don't think I'd put it up there with To Zanarkand, but it's definitely the only redeeming track I can think of in that game.

OOOOOHH, how can I pick? Well, at the moment the one I'm playing over and over is "To Zanarkand." It is such a sad and moving piece...and for some reason, for the past couple of months I've had this recurring dream where I'm playing it on the piano.
I don't even play piano. I'm a guitarist. I want to learn to play solely to fulfill that dream, though.

the overture they play during the end movie of 6, where it meshes together the character themes, the prologue song (it's called prologue on ffiv-celtic moon. the "opening screen" song in FFI), and a bunch of other stuff, is absolutely beautiful too.
all of Nobou's stuff is amazing but im just listening to Gilgameshs theme for the first time and im gob smacked, it pisses all over anything i could ever do
