Ipod! I'm getting one...A nano, actually, but I don't know what color to get it in! White or black? I want black but I need opinions...

I have a black nano 2GB, I got it back in September.
It's a solid buy if you ask me. They say the screen is easy to break, but I dropped my iPod a lot and the screen is fine.
If youre going to be dishing the money for a nano, get a regular ipod. Its hellova lot better and holds more music.
Get an iPod if you want to be like everyone else. Get an iRiver or a Zen if you want a good music player.

i have a black 4 gig nano. i havent had it long and its a little scratched but overall its awesome. its sooooo much smaller than the original ipod. get a nano.
iPods are definately worth the money, I havent actually got one, but I know alot of people that have got one, and they are awesome. I would pick the white one myself, but they both look good
But truthfully, wait and get the video iPod, that will be beyond cool, but it all depends on how much money you have, I'd assume the Video iPod to be quite alot of dosh .....
I never thought the nanos were cool. So tiny you can't even see what's going on, easily breakable, and less GB. A normal 20GB non video non picture iPod is fine to me, which is what I have. I'd rather have more music since I wanted an iPod for music rather than games and videos and photo storage. :p

You can't deny the advantages iPods have. Specifically the fact that they're the smallest, and best looking. No 200 $ 20GB mp3 player has a color screen, and it certainly wouldn't be as slim as a nano.Quote:

If you're going to get a nano, I say get the black one.
Or you could hold off on the purchase, and look around for a (possible) better deal, brand, whatever. No harm in checking out the competition.
personally i think they are overrated, and way too expensive
get a black one with a sterling silver back.
it will set you back a few hundred (duh) dollars, but im sure you will look unique and high class.
I don't like the nano. I wish they would have continued the IPOD Mini and dropped it to 150. Then I would have picked it up. As it stands now the Nano sucks and is a worse deal. 2 less gigs of space and less colors. So sad.
I prefer the originals. Sure, they're an ugly lump of plastic, but the newer ones are just too tiny, and break too easily. It always happens like that- it's the same with cellphones. People are vaugley aware that samll technology is better, and somehow decide that a small object must be better (regardless of the fact that a larger object of the same technological level is proportianlly better).
But, iPods are evil. Mine is screwed up and I'm trying to get it fixed.
Like all technology: good when they work, crap when they (all too frequently) don't.
I would say get a white one, cause the smudges on anything black are just annoying.
I'd say get the black, but i'd much rather go with a 60gig normal ipod myself. The nano might look a bit cooler, but for me the more music I can squeeze into that thing the better. I'm actually trying to get a free 60gig ipod through one of those online offers. I've heard from multiple reliable sources that they actually work, hopefully in a few months time i'll be cramming that thing full of tunes.
Also, am I the only one that thinks the video ipod is about the most pointless thing ever? The screen is what, two inches big?
ive got the 20 GB ohoto one and it works perfectly fine for moi. lol when I saw the anouncement of the ipod video, thats like totally loosing money:rolleyes2

I've got a 20GB White iPod Photo, which is great, but scratches really easily :(
I'd go for a White Nano over a Black, as if you want matching headfones you have to buy them sepearetly with the Black, also the Black iPods show scratches more on the click wheel etc.
i dont like ipods! i prefer the normal usb mp3 players! sure the ipod has more space but what if the headphones break? you cant use normal ones you have to buy "ipod" ones which cos something like 3 quid a pop!

It is really good though, I just can't seem to get it to work. Plus its less than 100$ and do you really need over 100 songs? Ionly have like 60 and I dont even listen to them all.
If you do get an Ipod, Iwould say black cause it lookds cooler. But I would also save up for a video Ipod or get a new brand.

He went up a full 1/3 in my estimation.
Of those two colors, I say white. It just fits with the way they're all futuristic and stuff.
Wow 6 to 25, guess that makes white the minority now.
