so who here likes to read or hates to read. who do you like or don't like?
Reading is that mystic practise which involves that white tree substance is it not?
I can't read
If you hate to read and you’re on a message board then you’ve lost your f@#$ing mind.
If you simply don't like to read books, then I guess you just suck.
how about orsen scott card anyone?
i like to read but i don't talk about it so shhhhhhh
Is he one of those people that make words appear on those mystic white tree substance contraptions?Quote:

Nope.
Reading puts thoughts into my head. Thoughts that I might not necessarily think up on my own. I like it!
I love reading. :D
Don't people who read these "paper" (I'm told) contraptions know how to properly articulate themselves with use of proper grammar?Quote:

My Grader is made by Catapillar. It has an articulation level. When you push it, it can articulate. Do think it has a special under the table deal with "paper"? Does it do it with special grammer powers?Quote:

I read so much I now have 2:20 vision. :D
I hate reading books. Filled with pointless details. Plays are where it is at.
I love reading, one of my favorite past times. I like pretty much all fantasy.
Books are totally awesome! I'm currently working my way through the modern classics, I just finished Animal Farm (in a day, it is a very short book) and now I am on to Brave New World which is intriguing.
Is TV Guide a book?
No, but seriously, I love to read. You will very rarely find me without a book, no matter where I am.
I enjoy a good fantasy novel or a intriging book. Saying that, I want to read the whole Avalon series by Marion Zimmer-Bradley.
Yes I like reading. When I first started school my teacher complained that I was reading too much! Then when I had read all the books I constantly whined that i'd read them all and they needed to buy some new ones.
Because of reading, I am a fat social outcast...
Here are my favorite authors.
Terry Pratchett. Very funny!
Terry Brooks. Yes, a bit of a Terry fascination.
Raymond E. Fiest.
All fantasy authors. Try them out.
I love reading. People need to read more.
Too true.
You, know FFVII would make a really good book. You know, published.
I only speak seven words of English.
I hate reading! It makes my eyes bleed:(
Not really. It's good as a game, but in novel form it would be far-fetched and corny.Quote:

I've only read Enchantment by Orson Scott Card, but it was so, so good.
I once pretended I joined a forum about some author I've never heard of...AND KRISTINA BOUGHT IT! LOL!
Greg Keyes does not appreciate that.
Also, Greg Keyes is so awesome and I want more. :(
I like philosophy, although I'm fairly new to it. I've read Nietzsche, Richard Bach, and some Plato (a random selection, as you can tell).
Marilyn Manson's Anti-Christ Superstar CD is entirely an auto-biographical reference to Nietzsche's thoughts about man transforming and then overcoming God, thus becoming a God himself.Quote:
I've read Nietzsche
I find the thought entertaining. On the most fundamental of levels I interpreted it as the simple logic that if we could follow god's trend of thought, we would need infinite knowledge ourselves so essentialy our pursuit of truth is the pursuit of omnipotence.Quote:

In my 7th grade reading class we gotta read six books every term. My favorite so far is The Hobbit. I just started to read The Dark is Rising but that looks to be pretty good.
well, i'm not much a reader of novels, but i enjoy a variety of books. books about poetry, animals, fairy-tales, mythology, and the paranormal, etc.
umm... yeah i guess.... as well as magazines such as National Geographic and Time...
Simple answer: Yes. :)
Yeah, sure. Hey i post here, don't I. Hell anyone who goes into the EOEO and the readers corner can read...or they read the first three lines, become frustrated, and do one of either two things, post something or go back to general chat. ;p Currently, I'm reading The Corner Store by Albert Idell.
People who don't read should be either made to or removed from the gene pool to stop the further degredation of society.
Because that would totally work.
Reading is one of my favorite escapes from reality, up there with sleeping.
I collect books, but for some reason read only occasionally. I've read a few very AMAZING writers, and I haven't been able to look at books the same since. A lot of what's published is complete rubbish. Robin Hobb and Neil Gaiman are where it's at.
I read the Harry Potters and sometimes if I find abook that looks good I might pick it up. I'm more of a visual person :p
I love to read, I just finished As I Lay Dieing by Falkner (I actualy understood the book for the most part! go me) and now I am reading Snow Falling on Ceaders by I forget
I love reading, fantasy is my favorite genre. I just finished reading two books (both in the same series) called "Way of the Wolf" and "Choice of the Cat". Let me tell you they have nothing to do with actual cats and wolves, great books though.
Aldous Huxley > George Orwell.Quote:

I just finished reading "The Private Life Of Chairman Mao" by Dr. Li Zhisui, which was a compelling book indeed. I'm currently trying to get into Boethius' "The Consolations Of Philosophy", but it's tough going. Failing that I also have a couple of Iain M. Banks books knocking around, and it's time I got some culture.
I love to read, I prefer the sci-fi genre mostly though
I enjoy reading but I don't do it enough (in terms of books and such).
Ursula K. Le Guin - Steering the Craft
Monika Fagerholm - Underbara Kvinnor vid Vatten
I love to read. I read in my spare time for the most part. Even here at work all I do is read. :) Currently reading "The Ghatti's Tale" by Gayle Greeno. It's a great book so far.
The only book i enjoyed reading was "the dirt" by Motley crue.
I read from time to time, my favourite books are 'The Beach' 'About A Boy' and 'Martin Pig' :p And no, I don't like the beach because there's a film about Leonardo DiCaprio based on it, the film is awful :p
I love reading. I'm a fan of the usual sci-fi fare : China Mieville, Phillip K. Dick, Peter Hamilton, William T. Santiago, Frank T.J Mackey , to name but a few, but I also like classical books, like Dickens, The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald, and the Catcher in the Rye. I'm also into Clive Cussler's adventure novels and anything historical.
I like reading graphic novels
I like reading and i love the alex rider series by Anthony horowitz.
I love books, next to playing computer games and writing stories, reading novels is close behind. I enjoy murder mystery novels, like Colin Dexters Morse or fantasy like the HP series.
I read almost a 500 page book a week. I love it. Right now I'm reading Stephen King's Black House.
Favorite authors are King, Koontz, Bentley Little, Michael Palmer, Grisham, and a ton of medical mystery writers.
I love books. I read all kinds, but mostly classic novels. Right now I'm reading The Count of Monte Cristo. It's great.
I must admit I like books though sometimes i would rather be out playing footie.
