For once, it's the Japanese boxart that sucks

A portish remake of the first Resident evil is coming out for the Nintendo DS. American boxart for the RE series are usualy TERRIBLE. But it looks like the Japanese has us beat this time (for those of you who don't know, RE in Japan is called Biohazard).

Okay, that's alright. It's not as HORRIFIC as the RE remake boxart for GameCube. It's not as boring as the boxart for RE0. It's like, "Hey, there is the Tyrant, Jill looks kind of freaked out, and those damn monsters are there that lob you head off if you aren't careful!"

What the hell is this?! I started to laugh my ass off looking at it! If you never played a RE game before, you would expect to be chased by birds the whole game, or at least flee from a giant crow that is hell bent on pecking your eyes out.

I agree. But, most kids that go into a stor would rather pick up the game with zombies and guns on the cover then a bird :p

I like the Japanese one. It's more subtle, and only hints at the horror you're about to face. The American one is more in-your-face, as if to say "Yeah! We got zombies! We got monsters! We got women in hats with guns! ARE YOU READY? THIS IS GONNA BE X-TREME!"

Well... the american box art I would completely pass over at the store. Looks the same as any other Resident Evil, and there's a million of them. The bird, however, with spooky faces barely visible.... really creeps me out.

Actually yeah, Europe's is probably the best out of those ones. America's is just boring, though I like Japan's as well.

And nobody in their right mind WANTS Unlimited SaGa - or any other SaGa game - to get sold =P

They're both horrible. But the Japanese one is even worse. It's so...simple and lame. Blegh. I wouldn't buy that, just based on the cover.

I think the crows alot cheesier. Anyway I probably wouldnt mind the jap box as much if it wasnt so low quality. I agree with Kikiim though.

I like both Box arts, although Ill admit the crow is a bit odd.
I dont like too brag, but European Box art is pretty good, probably the best.....

I've spent a few years in Europe. I think as its released in Europe last (well maybe, its probably Australlia last) and wether the game is a success or not has already been determined, and theyre not as bothered on impression and stuff the makers are often more creative with theyre cover art. Thats just my impression.
