The Shumi Tribe are known for one thing in particular: Being tough. Their members seem to have genetics on their side in that area, but they need it - they control the Northern trade routes which supply both the Judges and the Turks alike. They're basically in the roughest spot of town, but they manage extremely good cash from the trade generated by the two largest gangs in town both looking to gain favours from the gang constantly. If the gang was to pick a side, well...
There is another problem for the Shumi Tribe, being that while being in the middle of the two largest gangs, they must have some route to the rest of the gangs that runs through either territory, and can often get mixed up in any problems that exist between them. They tend to be self-sufficient overall because of this, although they never really have time to rebuild themselves between 'problems'.

We ought to side with the Judges. We ought, at least, to side with them or the Turks, on a semi-permanent basis. It's too soon to go trying tp play one side against the other, we don't know the mechanisms well enough. Besides, a mutually benficial arrangement with the Judges - who after all share our values of being better than everyone else - would benefit us mutually. I am certain you will see how compelling this argument is.

Pro-active, yes. But I think we must also be realistic. To expand our territory, we'll need new watchers of that terriotry. Hostile take-overs might not be in our best interest, business-wise. Besides, the Turks have already made allies, and they were bigger than us to begin with.

Shumi, hear me! There are happenings in case you are unawares. The wildcard member of the Judges, Bladen, has apparently been accused of bombing (and killing) two Turks. It seems inevitable that these two factions will have very strained, if not completely violent relations from here out. We are positioned between the two groups. Things will be likely rough for now, and possibly forever, but as rough as they get, we are tougher.

Miriel has taken it upon herself to take on the larger gangs surrounding her - and those far away, too. Having taken out Craig and RSL of her own gang to establish respect from her peers, she quickly took to causing havoc amongst the other gangs, notably achieving kills in Corneo's Gang (lulusgirl) and the Spoony Bards (Squally Leonharty) as well as injuring people in all other gangs.
