Foolin around with my game, I decided to try and pay Yojimbo to raise affection. Well I had like 3 million gil, and offered all to him...nothin.
I offered 100K twice, and he nods his head. I was like....yeah!!!!!! BOOM Zanmato.
Anywho, for the spoiler. For those who don't want to spend a billion gil, when you do fight him, just block or whatever, and when his OD fills he will Zan you. Worth the death in my opinion ;)
My Yojimbo is a lazy punk.I'll have his overdrive full and pay him about 6mil gil....Nothing!:cry:
pay him 1000 gill every time you attack with him, his likeness for you will slowly go up for you, until well... they game is screwed because you dont actually get to battle because Zanmatos.

Same here, its a wasted attack. Every attack he does inflicts 99,999 points of damage so it doesnt matter what attack he uses or how much I pay him. Its all the same.Quote:

I would rather use The Magus Sister's Delta Attack or Anima's Oblivion and not pay a dime. :D They usually get the job done quite nicely...

Giving him even 1 gil could make him perform Zanmato, it's all a matter of luck...most of the time.
i gave him 5 gil(why should i pay him alot?he sucks anyway,i'd rather use anima)
and i got zanmato

thats impossible... just to let you know... dont try to lie there is a formula that shows his willingness to perform Zanmato and performing it at 5 gil is impossible even if you have 255 compatibility with him
Zanmato is possible until you p!ss him off!!! i had him preform about 7 in a row once..............after i had spent about ten hours beating mimics out of there gil with Gilionaire!!!!!!!! its an amazing attack (even got him to blow away the dark magus sisters with it) but it takes patience. once you get him on a roll though its well worth the effort!!! and i definitly paid him more than 5 gil!!!

Also, anima sucks, as her overdrive lacks the multiple hit feature so beloved in PAL ;_;
ive never played PAL but i know for a fact you need to get his willingness to 80+ to perform Zanmato in the U.S. version and at 255 compatability (max) that only adds about 10 willingness so you still need to give him a butt load of gil if you even want a chance...
Has anyone here ever got him to use it by giving him all your gil at once?
You shouldn't complain, there's nothing hard enough worth using Zanmato on in the NTSC version anyway.Quote:

i wasnt complaining i was just saying that i didnt play the pal version so i didnt know the willingness stats for it... you still need it past 99,999 isnt enough to kill crap at the monster arena... in fact the species creation flying warlock is the only monster that would actually kill
I just give him about 3000 gil each time, he sometimes performs it for me sometimes not, he did it two times in a row once.
