Hey, I would be perfect for this. My voice was always in high demand from the music department of whatever school I was in growing up. They always wanted me for Glee Club, and I was asked several times to do a solo. I can do this!

Crud. The microphone on my computer is stuffed and there is no microphone (that I know of) on the laptop.....so I cant do any recordings. I really wanted to do one.....:cry:. Oh well, next year then, just make sure theres a space reserved for Slade ;)

Everyone should record using 16-bit, 44,100 KHz WAV files if possible (mono or stereo) for the best results. However, pretty much any settings can be resampled if need be.

If you get an extra moment BoB, could you rerecord a little louder and in 44.1KHz? I've been able to EQ and normalise the recording pretty well, but it would do a bit better if the volume on the original were a bit higher.

This is going to be the best song ever, I cant wait to see this all come together, and such great talent as well! 0.o, I mean, this defiantly disserves an award of some kind.

Hopefully others will get around to recording their voice segments. :)

Use phase vocoding to independently modify the speed, pitch, and volume of each track to the desired level, then combine! You can use linear predictive coding as well, but you have to keep the pole count high in order to get good quality out, and my experience with Csound hasn't really been satisfactory. You can use the Csound pvoc opcodes to get the phase vocoding job done, though. :D

I don't know if I could easily figure out how to do all that. But I can pitch shift without affecting time and time compress without affecting pitch, so I'll probably just use that...

Unfortunately, I've only edited a number of individual files. The files are not spliced together yet. :(

The recording was fuzzy and quiet originally...even with a bunch of normalizing and noise reduction it didn't come out as well as some of the others.
