Of course they wont....
Yeah, just look at Vagrant Story.Quote:

no
Fan demand is strong enough that they'll probably get around to it sooner or later. I'd bank on "later," though.Resurrection was a fan project that rendered key scenes from the game in good-for-amateurs CG. Square Enix eventually issued the guys running it a Cease & Desist, but it has nothing to do with making a new game.Quote:

i heard something about chrono break what was all that about?
Square registered the trademark in 2003, did nothing with it, and then the trademark expired.
I sure wish they would make a new chrono cross game....
the story's really nice. Oh and if you may have noticed I'm new here. But I'm very experienced with stuff like this.
ohhhhh thnx:)Quote:

I think they'll probably make another one eventually, given how popular Trigger and Cross are, but it might be years. Or it might just never happen at all.
You would think they would remake it or AT LEAST give us a real sequel ( no chrono cross was not a true sequel ), or a movie...
I mean c'mon CT is just as popular or more than FF7...
yeah its awsome game i wish i didnt lose mine
its not as popular as seven but yeah it is popularQuote:

Ironicly, there was one going to be made, or was cancelled during minimal work. It was titled Chrono Break. Square even put a copy write on the title which has to mean something, in the least anyway.
I never played CC, but why isn't it a true sequal? From what I gathered it followed along nicely after Radical Dreamers or whatever.
And Crash... that was quite annoying -_-
It had nothing to do with Radicle Dreamers. There are way too many differences for them to be linked in anyway.
It was, but wasn't. Chrono Trigger was a story about the world, and Chrono Cross was about a specific part of that world, and with the rift usage for the dimentional changes wasn't a complete port of any CT idea. So they are related, but not a true relation.
I suppose I'd have to play to understand. But I know Radical Dreamers had Kid and a dude that looked like Magus. So I know its in there somewhere. Whether its all AU or not, they're deffinitely related
Characters, yes. And it is based on the CC sub-plot of Linx. But other than that, it is just another story with the same characters.
i wish they would make another chrono trigger cause i lost mine now as i got is the music on my comp
To many Square fans, Chrono Trigger rivals FF6 and FF7 as the most favoured game to have ever been made by the beloved company.
I've never played Cross but Trigger is the only Square game I find myself consistantly going back to again and again (that and FF8, to an extent)
I hope to another Chrono game someday. And I WILL get around to playing Cross.
Cross was nothing compared to trigger
Thanks for translating it Crash, I couldn't read it.Quote:

you definately got that right!!! hell if they EVER make another crono game it'll surprise me!
I liked the CT remake btw... or rather: I would have liked it if Square wouldn't have forced the fanboy-producers to cancel it. On the other hand this project was kinda senseless.. Well, I just got a change of mind: I don't care.
@ Topic:
Nah, they won't ever before they don't finish this "Compilation of everything" stuff, which will keep them busy for a few centuries.
Why don't you just download CT on an emulator? They're all over the web, and although theyre not exactly legal :shifty:, they have virtually every nes, snes, and most other systems pre- PS1 game available for (usually) free download.Quote:

Be extremely good if they did make a new one:D but they probably won't:(
i think they should make a new chrono game!I dont understand why some people dont like cc?I think its the greatest game ever created(but then again it was my first rpg)i liked chrono trigger but i cant sit down and play it sometimes i get tired of it which isnt good (NOOO I MUST WORSHIP IT NOT GET MAD AT IT ><)i think they should make chrono break cause i need a new game to play or at least remake ct and cc for the ps2 and give them voices><
no...
awwwwwww why not??it would be awsome???
email them and tell them:clone:
Look at this:

We were so close.
Other than rom hacks I doubt there will be a new Chrono game. I really beleive that SE has gone real downhill the past few years. Oh and for anyone looking for PS emulators check here www.zophar.net
God, do I wish. xD
Well if it doesn't happen sooner it probably won't happen at all.
Think of it this way. Chrono Trigger was released in '95 I believe. Now given that the majority of the rpg fan base is in their mid to late teens that would mean that the people who built up the majority of the Chrono Trigger fan base would probably be starting to push 30 by now. And by the time another Chrono game came out they would be even older than that.
And since the majority of the teenagers these days probably never owned the system that Chrono Trigger came out on they probably have never played Chrono Trigger in the first place so therefore are not part of the fan base anyhow.
So if they do not come out with another Chrono game soon it will probably never happen because it would be kind of pointless for square to make a game for a group of people who probably don't play video games all that much anyhow.
Super Metroid was released for the SNES in 1994, and gamers loved it and clamored for a sequel. Yet, it wasn't until eight years and two console generations after the last game's release that the series was continued.
That kind of thing doesn't happen every day, but it's entirely possible. It's even more likely when you factor in Chrono Cross, a late PS game which exposed a lot of new people to the series. There's also the PS rerelease and rampant emulation of Chrono Trigger to consider. The Chrono games certainly have enough of a following to generate enough hype for a new installment to sell adequately.
Mm, not really. :cat:Quote:

Chrono will come. If an enterprise is profitable, it is in a business's pure interests to take advantage of it. And now that Masato Kato is helping with the Children of Mana project, he's working with SE again. Mitsuda being a freelancer won't stop him from helping out too; he was a freelancer in 1998 and 1999, but the team demanded his involvement in the music and Squaresoft rightly said "sure."
Odds are they will eventually make another 'Chrono' game, but it will most likely be something similar to Chrono Cross - not a true sequel, with a revamped battle system. Most folks tend not to like Cross as much because of these factors (or at least people I have spoken to about the subject).
I wish Square would stop trying to reinvent itself with each new title and just go for something obvious and classic- if only for the old school fans. Maybe release something every few years to feed the original fan base.
Regarding the next in the chrono series, it would be wonderful if it were a true sequel with the same overall environment/feel of the old game; the great music, plot twists, and simplistic yet incredibly kick-ass combat that made the game a 'classic' in the first place.
i highly dought it

None of those games are made by square. They just publish those games. Just like Nintendo did not make Perfect Dark...Rare made it and Nintendo published it.
Seiken Densetsu DS(Next Entertainment)
Drakengard 2(Cavia)
Thank you. I wasn't sure on drakengard and I had no clue about Seiken Densetsu for the DS. The DS kind of catches me off guard.
