i know i wanna kill the chocobo too. it has an evil mind of its own.
i was so discouraged in not getting the MAIN CHARACTER'S best weapon that i never even bothered to do any side quests anymore.
Did it in my first ever try ;)
Of course, it took me several times to do it during my second playthrough.

i think its based a lot on luck cuz when i did it for a long time my chocobo kept turning right into the birds and it pissed me off but when i finally got it it kinda just fell togethor
