The only 2 that have ever got me going are Billie Joe from GreenDay and Matt Bellamy from Muse! But Ive gone off Matt Bellamy cause hes a prat!

I for one don't find models attractive at all, extra-ordinary or "normal". They're all fake. =)

I don't get it. Who said that this was about listening to bands because of the way they look? The topic was just asking who we think is good looking. I don't see anyone saying they're listening to these people just because of the way they look. Maybe I'm missing something?

Billie Joe armstrong, is e, he doesnt even play the crappy guitar solos in all their songs, they have some other guy play them, and he rekons tht greenday have the best bassist, n drummer in the world..... but i guess he is good at writing songs which are catchy and appeal to the mainstream listeners.
Matt Bellamy actually writes decent music, is a good singer, guitarist, piano player, and muse are one of the best live bands, and isnt in anyway uphimself.

Indeed he does, but from what i've seen in interviews and whatnot (since i've never met either of them :rolleyes2 ) Billie Joe is far worse. From what i've seen of Matt Bellamy he seems like a decent bloke, i've never personally heard him make sweeping statements like Billie Joe but i'll take your word on that.

Him being around longer doesn't justify the fact that he's making claims like that either.

There's been a few more argeumentations with this, but I'll be fussing over it anyway.
Firstly, Matt Bellamy is a decent musician. He writes and plays good music and, as said, Muse are a brilliant live band. If anyone deserves to show off, it's ol' Matty.
Secondly, 'he's the absorbed one'? That couldn't be further from some sort of truth-like object. He barely talks. In all three of Muse's albums, there has only been two pictures of the band (one backing Showbiz, and another black and white, scrumpled picture inside Absolution). That all says diddly-squat about their music, but it must show that they're not arrogant showy idiots, pasting their faces everywhere (unlike Greenday).

My boyfriends ex asked for his autography one day in Manchester and he ended up snapping at her and giving her a huge lecture on pestering him.! She was doing no such thing! Loads of girls were round him and she just asked for an autograph and he kicked off with her and left her in tears?! So much for having time for fans ... They are a copy of Radiohead anyway.

GreenDay were good back in the day. Since AI they have gone OTT, but bands can plaster their own albums with their photos. Since when has that been bigheaded?

I don't know what was with that, but that alone does not make him a bad guy and it certainly doesn't make him any worse of a musician. Their were other girls around him, right? So maybe he got sick of being crushed by stupid fans (that, to be honest, he doesn't have to care about in the least. The songs on that album were damn good and original, they earned themsleves a fair bit of respect with it.

Y'know (*runs away off topic with a smile*), it depends how you do that anyway. Crappy pop crap that fills it's little booklets with nothing but boring shots of themselves- that's always crap. They just like their own face. Having other people like it is how they sell.
People like Marilyn Manson fill their albums with their own pictures, but with him it's all a part of his little show. Those pictures are not actually him, Warner, but his darling character Manson, you understand? They're interesting and... artsy (I guess) pictures.

That doesn't mean he can be big headed. It's still just as annoying.
Being around for longer doesn't mean anything. When you've actually done something you can show off (if you're Lemmy, you should).
Experience? A longer time doesn't nessecarily mean more experience. You ahve to have done good work in that time. Bellamy may have had a shorter time (if that's true, anyway) but he's done better and more original work.

We are not clones so obviously we all have different opinions and that means that YES, you do have to respect the opinions of others...at least while you're posting at this site. And yes, you are also entitled to give your opinion, but not when you also belittle someone else's at the same time.

I am closing this thread because it has gone way off topic. The title of this thread was "20 Hottest rock Stars in your opinion", but it seems like a lot a people here just want it to be their opinion.
