Is Namine's name pronounced Naminay or Namina?:confused:
Na - meen - a (Long A)
oh. tank you!
The first one
hoo's namina?
~owy
that blondie who (SPOILER)has the power to change Sora's memories of Kairi with herself. She can also make events happen by drawing them.
(SPOILER)Namine's power lies completely in manipulating memories. She can, by manipulating memories, change the form of some physical objects, but there is no indication that she can make events happen by drawing them. The only thing which would seem to support that statement is the opening video of KH2, but that is in direct conflict with the events of Chain of Memories, and I believe it was done more for style than accuracy, as that video has several incosistancies, and appears just to be made as a small recap that looks very, very awesome.Quote:

i asked mircrosoft sam, and he said Nar-main
like charmane, but with the nar........... XD
well I guess I won't be certain until KH2 is released! lol
I pronounce it whatever way I want to. Nay-min-ay
I'm pretty sure in KH2 they pronounce it "Nah-mee-nay", but whatever :p I don't remember for sure XD;
Starlight is correct, but there's plenty of potential for "Americanization". Honestly I don't see the point, I like how they say it.
I doubt they'll Americanize it. They freaked everyone out by speaking Tidus's name in the first one. So I'm sure it'll stick to Japanese pronunciation standards. Anime is pronounced an-ee-may. Namine would be pronounced na-mee-nay *Shrugs*
More than likely. They did Americanize Tidus' name slightly, from the Japanese "Ti-dah". But it'll probably be basically, if not exactly the same.
Roxas probably won't be Roxasu though :cry:
Thats actually a pretty good reason! Yea coz for some reason I thought Tidus would be pronounced as 'tide (as in wave) -us'. then when i heard it for the first time n it woz 'tee-dus' i woz lyk "o dats different but okay!' Namine would sound nicer in japanese.
I am now certain on how to pronounce her name looky here:

Precisely how I thought it would be pronounced. But is it just my computer, or did none of the rest of that video have sound?Quote:
