What was supposed to happen to him? :P
That is exactly what was supposed to happen. Attacks that cause knockback, such as criticals or Mog Attack, can push people off cliffs. If the cliff is high enough, it will cause them damage when they hit the bottom. Just try to use it to your advantage, rather than letting it be used against you.
if you fell off a cliff,you would die as well.or at least,get hurt.so it's not a dumb rule.Quote:

IMO, iy really adds to the strategy. Get pushed back to cliff, pushed off and die. Better than fall 50 feet and come out unscathed.
Celes jumped into the water
Okay, but does fairy shoes help?
(Self-reminder: Do not go near ledges that have a difference of 12 to the other side of the ledge.)
Dunno. They the ones that make you Jesus? Wouldnt think so.
They teleport you to where you're going.
Feather Boots let you walk on water.
Dash Boots let you go farther 1 square.
Money lets you buy stuff.
Ruby earings make your Viera look prettier.
Spiked Boots help you stay on the ground.
Germina boots make Viera look uglier.
Well, since you are PHYSICALLY KNOCKED BACK I dont think they stop the damage.
Also, dont be sarcastic to me.
But it's true!
The Germinas clash with the rabbit ears!
Whatever...
Haha, I now officially love this thread
nOObs really annoy me.
If the Viera is a summoner, the earings are sooo not compatable with the horn.
They should stick curealls up their nose to look better.
I... don't think it's fashion parade in that game... and if you stick curealls up their nose (I don't really think it would make them look better -_-;) I think it would just count as used and slowly disappear.
Anyway I find it quite funny to hit a moogle off the cliff (not the fact it may get KOed and be in pain) and hear it say "kupopo".
Imagine a cureall exploding into blue light in a viera's nose, then the boogers would go away and it would stink less. Also, their nostrils would get bigger!
When a human dies, it baas like a sheep.

O ... I'm just wondering how do you think of the booger thing? I can believe you with the human but do you see the others in your dreams? It is quite unheard and interesting!
Why don't the Nu Mous Baa? They're SHEEP!!!!!!
^somehow I think not
You're right! They're LAMB!

Shut uyp!
Moo!

Shut up! Woof woof!
I actually love the rule, for one reason. Once, one of my characters had that Return Fire ability, and an archer shot an arrow at her. She cought it, threw it back, got a critical, and the archer fell off a cliff and died. It was so badass!
That would of been cool!
In one of the Last Missions, with Ritz's clan and the Giant Cliff, I pused Ritz off and she took 200 dmg.
Nu Mou's are lamb/sheep!? that really does explain a lot...
O_o No, they're not
I think this thread is a bit too unredeemably spammy. I would like to remind all those involved that spam is forbidden. I would further like to point out that making comments about "nOObs" is not a good way to go on this site, as it often leads to flaming which we absolutely do not tolerate.
In FFT, you take fall damage when the height you fall from is more than your Jump stat (which is why you can take hundreds in MLAPAN). The concept's been recycled here, I wager. Just make your Jump stat higher or have an ability that defeats it, like Ignore Height (is that in FFTA? I forget) or have the ability to fly, etc. I think knockback/fall damage is awesome, personally.
I think it's a nice touch.
There is no Ignore height in FFTA, so you die anyway.
Yes, there is. Equip the Galmia Shoes. Not sure if it will prevent fall damage, but it's worth a try.Quote:

You can have your team member attack you.
well if u got hit in real life and got pushed off a cliff it would hurt u more
This is just an issue with the game!
It almost never happens. It's really not a big deal.
if i was playing FFTA and was near a ledge then was hit and knocked back and fell about 100 feet down and didnt take any damage it'd be a bit wierd. better to keep things as real as possible and it was only that one time so you may as well get over it.
Actually, it happened to me again.
