I can't be the only one who would love to see an FF6 movie, in my opinion they had the best villain ever (go Kefka!). Sure it would be hard to follow all those story lines considering all the characters, but I think someone could pull it off.

Naw, FFVI is already entertaining enough. I think it would only cheapen it to make it into a movie.
You do have a point. Alot of people weren't too happy with Advent Children, I loved it but it could have been a wee bit more centered on plot.
If anything, I would like to see an Anime for it
A serialized anime, so they can get everything in there.
Only if Woolsey did the translation.
Maybe some sort of anime can come of it, as it would be easier to forget if it got ballsed up, if your meaning a full blown movie, God no...
a ff6 movie would be great it has one of the best story lines out of all the final fantasys maybe the best it would be a great movie
I WOULD LOVE IT....... just as long as they get a good director...... Id liketo see what Quintin Tarintino would do with FF6...... that would never happen
The problem with movies is RPGs with a solid 20-40 hours of gameplay don't really translate well to movie format, and a lot of stuff ends up getting cut.
I liked the game well enough that I don't think an expansion would add anything of merit. It was a pretty tight package, and the story was wrapped up nicely. A movie or anime would be "cool," but probably never good enough to please fans.
It would take 20 hours to put FFVI into a movie.
It would only work either way if they had Mark Hamill play Kefka, whether in voice over or in live action.
some sort of anime series is the only way i think this would work.
As previously said an anime would be good, or a serialized TV movie, so then it can be really long...More probably would be an anime. I would love to see Locke, Celes and Terra in anime!
i would like to see a prequel involving the war of the magi. movie or game, so long as the story rocked
I've been thinking a lot about wanting to see Johnny Depp as Locke lately, but I'm not sure a movie would be as good as it deserves to be.
At a bare minimum they'd need to make it a two-parter, and the game has that natural split with WOB/WOR. Anime would be best as far how to do it tho.
Actually no it'd be alot better as a series composed of many hour long episodes. MANY episodes! :D

FF VI is fine all by itself, no movie, no sequel, no natta. Leave it be.
Okay, let's do this.
If they made a live action FF6, who should play whom?
I think Johnny Depp would make a great Kefka, given some make-up and hair dye.
Antonio Banderas would be Cyan, for sure.
I can't think of any other fit-to-be-tied actors, off hand. Anyone else got any?
I would have to go with this so far. kind of funny most of the people i list are from Lord of the Rings.
Kefka: Mark Hamill
Gestahl: Christopher Lee
Edgar: David Wenham
Sabin: Sean Bean (no real reason, it would just be funny to have them play brothers again)
Celes: Miranda Otto
Cyan: Adrian Paul
Setzer: Bruce Campbell (his attitude in the game just reminds me of autolocus from hercules)
Cid: John Rhys-Davies
Strago: Ian Holm
Shadow (voice): Jeffrey Combs
Mog (voice): Billy West
i think a anime whould be cool especially if they had some kinda manga accompanying it.....
I really like your ideas, I'm not to sure of Mark Hamill playing Kefka tho. I'd like to see Josh Holloway play him. It could work with the right make-up.Quote:

Please refer to this thread for actors.
russel crowe would make a good celes lol
I pick Mark Hamill because he has probably thr best psychotic laugh ever, just watch any episode of Batman The Animated Series. Or even his role as the Trickster on the old Flash show, shows that he can play the psycho killer well. Just throw a colorful costume on him and he's good to go.
Why is it that now people talk about there being movie adaptations of ALL the FF games?
People seem to not realize that Advent Children was a followup due to an inconclusive ending, not a movie adaptation. All the others were nicely concluded, VI included, and there'd be no point in making a film to them.
Plus, despite how fun this game was, I just don't think VI is worthy of being a movie. It just doesn't have a solid storyline that would be needed to make a film. *runs like hell*
The nice thing is that 17-37 hours of that gameplay is either traveling or fighting.Quote:

It should only be in anime form if Amano is STRICTLY involved.
As for a live-action film... Walter Koenig is the ONLY choice for Kefka. :D
oh no you did not just say that..Quote:

Well... If VI isn't solid, then I guess that makes various other entries... Vaguely gaseous? :pQuote:

The ONLY way I'd want to see an anime is if Amano's art style was used. It captures the atmosphere of the game perfectly, and that's the thing I like most about the game.
If Amano's art style was used, I doubt it would still be called an anime.
Tell that to Angel's Egg.

Oh, I was thinking of the sketchy artwork he does as character artwork.
A FF6 anime series drawn by Yoaka Amano and directed by the original creators of the game would be juicy... dare I say the best anime series ever?
The only Final Fantasy I could ever see being made into a live action film is Final Fantasy Tactics. It would have a kind of 'braveheart' feel to it... plus Sean Connery would make the perfect Orlandu.
No. No movie. No anime series. Please. FFVI is perfect as it was.

Oh, screw the rest of it. All I want is a fully orchestrated album of the entire Final Fantasy VI Soundtrack. That's enough, plz k thx bi.
That would be nice *drools*
See? Now, would anyone really disagree to that? :)
What's with the American actors?!?!? I mean, why should it be American? Live action isnt square's style, anyway, and VI isn't big enough in the US to get a movie. They are going psychotic on the VII remakes, so any other FF is sorely outshadowed.
Haha, DC cracks me up. Have them try to make a game starring a hidden character, and lots of people would be like "WTF?!?!", but I dont know of anybody who plays FFVII that doesnt get Vincent and Yuffie. Lots of times they dont even use them!! They just like to have them....
I'd rather see a series with the graphics of advent children, and in amano's art style. (like the cg movies in anthology.)
If they crammed it into a movie, It'd be ruined. :choc2:
