which FF tune do you thinks the most emotional.
id say either "looking for friends" on FF6 or the tune played on FF7 when fighting the jenova at the end of disk one.
they are both very emotional.

Maybe its just me, but Cid theme from 7.
The first time you hear it in the rocket, when Cid is speaking of his broken dreams...
Probably "You are Not Alone"
i think the cosmo canyon and "1000 words" are the most emotional tunes in ff history but eyes on you and the jenova theme are pretty potent
1000 Words, the Zanarkand music in FFX and the Madain Sari song
To Zanarkand definitely moved me more than most. Much love for other themes like Celes, Terra, and Jonny C Bad (what can I say, it made me feel happy). Cyan's theme also moves me emotionally. Songs don't always have to make you feel a little sad to move you.
To Zanarkand moved me for other reasons(MGS2).
Burmecian Kingdom. So bloody sad.
Drifting - FFVIII
Crossing The Hills - FFIX
Aeris Theme - FFVII
Awakening - FFVI
Between those ....
To Zanarkand, Cry in Sorrow, 1000 Words, Aeris Theme, or FFVII main theme (piano collections), etc.
chcobo race theme
Hurrah, video game music discussion!
suteki da ne's piano arrangement has amazing chords that stir my soul a bit~
the cid theme when you meet him and also when your in space with him is realy emotinonal. your not alone is one of my favourite FF9 tunes but the emotion is more somthing else than sadness in my opinion but its still a very emotoinal peice.
The Black Mages remix of the Jenova theme always gets me going, just love it
And also the Vana'diel March (FFXI) is a very up beat song which i guess you could say moves me.
lol while I'm on the topic of FFXI, the Windurst Theme moves me heaps. In the game i went of to the Valkrum dunes (where everyone goes to lvl from 10-20ish) and then on to San'doria and it was about 2 real weeks before i got back to Windurst, and i was so happy to hear that happy, up beat song that when ever i hear it i feel happy ^_^
I'd have to say:
The FFX beginning (piano)
FFIX's Blackmage village
FFIX's Terra theme
FFIX's final battle music
FFIX's You are not alone
FFIX's Melodies of life
FFX-2 Eternity
The FFVII tune Highwind(the one you can play on the piano not the music while your flying in the airship)
i thought the to zanarkand theme
FF7 Cid's
FF7 Aerith's
FF8 Drifting
FF8 Love Grows
FF8 Eye's on Me (Remember the first time I got to the Ragnarok part :'( )
FF9 Mistaken Love
FF10 To Zanarkand
FF10 Suteki Da Ne
FF10-2 1000 Words
Can't really think of any from tactics and I havn't played 1 + 6 enough to know them :D
Final Fantasy X's, To Zanarkand.
Challenge (Yunalesca's theme/battle music).
its filled with so many thoughts going through everyones head.
questioning there religion etc...
and gawsh..... never seen more sexual tension between Auron and Yunalesca.
1,000 words
Aeris Theme
FFVII main theme
Eternity ~Memory of Lightwaves~
Cids Theme (FFVII)
In no particular order:
Terra's Theme (FFVI)
Searching for Friends (FFVI)
Aeris' Theme (FFVII)
(To) Zanarkand (FFX)
Whatever song plays during FF7 when you fight Jenova life. Right after "you know what" happens. I believe it's the Aeris Theme.
FF7 is not my favorite FF game, but that song always reminds me of that event in the game.
Either that, or the opera song from FF6. The whole song, starting from the beginning of the opera, all the way until Uncle Ulty crashes in.
FFIX: You are not alone
FFX: To Zanarkand, Suteki Da Ne
ffIX freya's music (i have no clue what that is called) and "Loss Of Me"
and To Zanarkand
and the Cosmo Canyon music FFVII
I'd have to say the 'Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec' version of Fisherman's Horizon is the most emotional, but To Zanarkand is not far behind.
Yuna's balad
and 1000 words (piano virsion)
I concur.Quote:

I think FF7's main theme is very emotional. FF8's Eyes on Me is second.
He totally tried to penetrate her.Quote:

-What else can there be?
of course its ff8 "eyes on me"!!!!!!!!!!
There are way too many. I'll take this one at a time, so for now I'll mention the song that plays in the ruined city of Burmecia in FFIX.
Umm, my favorite are:
Eyes on Me
The Succesor
To Zanarkand
Suteki Da Ne
Terra's theme
The Skies Above (The Black Mages)
But the one that touched my heart was "Fragments of Memories" at FFVIII, in the beginning of Disc 2
''Forever Rachel'' (FF6) is really emotional, well, to me.
1000 words. it almost made me cry. i can sing the whole thing out loud cause its my favorite song and i remembered the whole thing and when i cant get on the ff game i go to www.youtube.com to play the song i love it
*WWWWWHHHHHAAAAAAAA*LOL
"To Zanarkand" is an all-time favorite of mine...it's so sad and wistful.
"Aerith's Theme" because it conveys hope even in the midst of despair.
But I have to ultimately pick "Suteki Da Ne" due to an emotional association - when I was visiting a dear friend when he was going through a breakdown, I put this on and we slow-danced to it. It was a beautiful moment and one I'll never forget.
I would have to say the orchestral arrangement of the Rebel Army theme from FFII (Scene VII on FF: Symphonic Suite) is an absolutely gorgeous and moving piece. The dynamics of the piece are stunning, and the variety of instruments used is just perfect. The way the choir slowly works into the piece and adds such dynamic contrast.... The piece by itself tells a lovely story... *ahem* Anyway, the thing I like most about it is that it turns the ordinary "Go talk to Hilda or whoever in that castle thing" music into an absolutely beautiful masterpiece. It's not just Final Fantasy music in this piece... it's top-notch classical music.
Wow, I definitely went overboard there... I've been a musician for several years, so I tend to go overboard when I describe a piece I like.
I'd probably have to go with Memories of Life. I know there are more from IX that I really loved, but I can't remembe the names of any of them. =\
  Ohhh yeah!Quote:

OK, I thought I'd sort them by parts, 'cause I get emotional equally by all of them.
FFI: Uderwater Shrine(DoS) - It's just so beaytiful. I could almost feel shivers. Chaos Shrine(DoS) - Same here.
FFII: The Main Theme is just amazing! I liked the one from symphonic suite. It just sounded so epic with the chorals and everything.
FFIV: Rydia. It just fitted her character so well.
FFV: Sadness. The part where you-know-who dies... I actually cried!
FFVI: Terra (Piano Version)... Oh... I love this one... First FF tune I could play on my piano exam...
Spinach Rag just makes me all... floopy!
FFVII: Main Theme. The piano version is engenious.
Aerith theme... again... I cried at that fatefull moment...
FFX: To Zanarkand... Makes me think about sad stuff...
Suteki Da Ne... Love is in the air...
FFX-2: 1000 Words... ah....
A lot of the FF IX ones, particularly the one playing when Black Waltz three attacks. While I Hate eight, I will admit that it had some great songs, none of which can I remmeber what they are called or when they are played.
A Fleeting Dream (Someday the dream will end)
FF7 Main Theme. Not my favorite song but greatly emotional for the game.
The World Map Musics in FF 1, 2, 3, 4.... actually, all of the world map musics are very emotional.
My favourite songs on Final Fantasy are...
FF7- Aeris Theme
FF8- Graden v Garden
FF9- Youre not alone
FF10 - Ending
X-2 - 1000 Words
There are many other grat ones but those clinch it.
um yunas theme ff10
If I am already over emotional... Keep me away from the following songs.
Orchestrated Forever Rachel (FFVI)
Orchestrated Aeris' Theme (You all know. =/)
The FFX Ending Theme
Final Fantasy VII ~ Aerith's Theme, Prelude (love this song)
Final Fantasy VIII ~ Eyes On Me
Final Fantasy IX ~ Your Not Alone, Melodies of Life
Final Fantasy X ~ To Zanarkand, Suteki da Ne, Someday the Dream Will End
Final Fantasy X-2 ~ 1000 Words, Eternity ~Memory of Lightwaves~
Btw, anyone have the english version of 1000 Words and the eng. orchestral version? I only seem to have the japanese versions, which are great by the way :)

breezy, ff8.
The violin intro of Suteki Dane. It brings me into deep angst...
