Where I live we call them slippers. Oo
I've never heard the word Jandals in my life.
Though we usually call them flip-flops.
You know what I think, Mitch. >=(
Sandal power!
Is jandals even a real word?
Ditto TheAbominatrix.
I wouldn't call them jandals or sandals, id call them flip-flops. Ive never heard them be described as jandals before. I don't know how anyone wears those things, there so uncomfortable, an impractical.
I wear all the time. I even wear them in the winter. I adore flip flops, I couldn't live without them.
What the hell are jandals
I've always known them as flip-flops!
Snake, in China they say, "When walking through a melon patch, don't adjust your sandals." That means that when things get really bad, you have to try to remember what's important. Keep things in the proper perspective, okay?
i agree with mostly everyone else, they're called flip flops! not jandals, or sandals!
You're all wrong.
Jandals is the correct answer. Just ask BoB.
You usually don't ask things like that of someone who can't properly pronounce "no."
Sandals, and they're rubbish. Feet are evil and should be encased at all times. They make mockeries of everyday normal shoe abiding folk.
You wear them in the winter! Don't your feet get cold?Quote:

chaos: Jandals, obviously.

Failing that, sandals, but flip-flops works for those.
Mr. Bojangles?
I have never heard the term "jangles" before. I call them sandles, and I haven't heard most people call them "flip-flops" in my area.
I call them sandals, but I don't usually wear them. :)
I call them sandals, or flip-flops. One or the other. I have never even heard of the term jandals before though. :O
Round here, we call 'em footholders.
You don't have winter :pQuote:

I'd wear some, but somebody sank my jengajam...and I don't want to. Jandals are...not a word...?
Sandals or flip-flops.
Don't wear them anyways, though.
I asked some buddies of mine whether they called them "flip-flops" or "jandals", and I got the "What planet is this guy from?" look. Looks like you call them whatever you do depending on where you come from. I guess... :eyebrow:
Only two votes for Jandals!? BUT THATS WHAT THEY ARE!!! *jumps up and down like a madman*
I love you more and more every day RichardQuote:

Flip Flops: http://images.chron.com/content/news...uflipflops.jpg
Sandals: http://www.zappos.com/boutiques/844/...main032005.jpg
Jandals: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jandals
Basically, jandal is what flip flops were originally called, but the phrase flip flop is much cooler.
this is obviously an inside joke.
Aaaaaaaah......thanks foa!
Personally, I call them either sandals or flip-flops.
My Grandad, on the other hand, calls them flap jacks.
Sandles or Flip flops. Personally, I can't stand them. I <3 socks, THEY WERE MADE FOR SOMETHING.
A sandal is like what the Roman's used to wear, a flap jack is some sort of pancake and a flip flop is a part of the male anatomy.
Jandals are the key. Jandals are the world. Jandals are the RIGHT way to pronounce this type of footwear ;)
VOTE JANDALS You know they'd do the same for you
1) I have no idea wtf a Jandal is.
2) I've always thought a Sandal was a type of flip-flop that had support around the back of your foot too.
Like this:

3) Here in Australia, we call flip-flops Thongs too.
Judas wore sandals.
JANDLES!!!
Well they call them flip-flops in the US.
And jandals were really invented in Japan, not NZ like we say they are. Kiwi's "can't handle the jandal".
I see "jandals" a lot in Auckland.
I've never used or heard the word jandals before. We say sandals. But those things in the picture are flip flops.
And I agree on the word flip flops being cooler 'cause it's the noise they make.
They are thongs, nothing else. Its not funny, because we call your thongs g-strings. Thongs go on your feet. although I have met a few confused people who put g-strings on their feet.Quote:
