Ok so post here who your favourite game character is and why?
Mine is Cloud Strife because I think he is a great yet sometimes a little withdrawn but I like his looks, his style and everything about him.

I choose, 3 Squall Leonheart, Sieg from Chaos Legion, and Mario from a lot of nintendo games.
Squall represents me, in looks and his personality, I used to be like him, really didn't care much about other people and distasted help. Sieg, why I like him... OH just because he's a bad ass!. Mario, no ned for reasons there just play his old school games, (especially Yoshi's Island and Super Mario World) and you'll see why.
Kratos from Tales of Symphonia and Soma Cruz from Castlevania: AoS and DoS. Theyre cool
I liked Guybrush Threepwood from the MK series, George Stobbart from the Broken Sword series and Lara Croft ... well shes a heroine, same thing.

Probably Vincent Valentine. Yes he is a hero cus he was part of a cast that saved the world just like yuffie you dont need to be the main charachter to be a hero in a game.

Yuri Hyuga
He's a badass and says some of the best one liners in game history. He seems completely apathitic on the outside, but he's incredably deep. Probably one of the most in depth charters.

Get over your damm high horse. To me, no he isnt a hero, hes more of a sidekick or something. A hero, to me, its someone who saves the world. Yeah fair enough he/she has a party to accompany him/her, but the main character is mainly the hero of the game cause you are mainly controlling him/her.Quote:

RPG heroes tend to either be annoyingly silent or hyperactively talkative which is too much for my liking. I think from the newer generation FF games, Tidus was the least annoying of the bunch.
I didn't like Shion Uzuki in Xenosaga episode 1 but she was one of my favourite battle characters in episode 2. They also made her look better. :greenie:
I also liked Sora from Kingdom Hearts.
I like being my own hero. So Eleni from FFXI. Hardest rocking White Mage, ever.

Leon Kennedy, because I like to pwn zombies and his game lets me do just that.
I like Leon from RE4 and Riku but hes not a hero so I would say also Tidus and Sora.

Link, for his silent innocence and determination. Chrono for basically the same reason. And Zidane for being funny and lighthearted, but noble and romantic at the same time.

I'd pick Wander from Shadow of the Colossus because, in my opinion, he defines the word Hero. You need to beat the game to know what I mean, though.
But for pure awesomeness, Solid Snake hands down.
Solid Snake - Because he is the most realistic hero I've seen ever and he is a slaughter house. Everything about him is legendary. Grat character.
Cloud Strife - My first ever games for the Play Station was Crash Bandicoot 2 and Final Fantasy VII. Cloud is just lethal. He is the main man in the game and doesnt do anything that makes me feel he is a crap character. I know it was in text, but it was very very good to get a character so over with just text. His whole life was described perfectly.
Cecil-Final Fantasy IV: I feel this is one of the deepest characters (if not the deepest) character in the game. I like the whole personal struggle, questioning his own loyalty and who he truly is. And I like that.
Vyse-Skies of Arcadia: He has such a solid determination about him. He dreams of seeing the entire world. He also thinks beyond the confines of where he is, constantly wondering about new people and places he might see.
Link-The Legend of Zelda series: He has a quiet determination about him, and is an adaptable adventurer, able to take on any trouble that comes his way.

Yuri from Shadow Hearts, he beats the crap out of any FF hero, part from maybe Cloud. Allthough that being said I always rather liked Squall.
Boston Low from the The Dig, Guybrush Threepwood, and JC Denton from Deus Ex.
Oh and of course Dante.

Squall. He was aways aloof but had that soft side just wanting to come out, but was afraid to let it. You actually saw a moment of that side when he rescued Rinoa and hugged her close.
I always liked Kite..one of the "different" kinds of main characters
Guybrush Threepwood is my hero.
Dante is a close second, only because if it ever came to a battle between the two of them, Guybrush would probably win by accidentally concucting a demon-killing weapon using only a fish, a corkscrew, and a gym sock. That is something I simply must respect.
Rincewind from Discworld 1 + 2. If you've played these games then you know why, if you havn't then sorry it would take way too long to even try and explain.
P.S you will (probably) never have heard of this guy unless you're British, the Discworld comes from the British author Terry Pratchett's series of books.
If you think the puzzles in the Monkey Island series are weird and random...well, you aint seen nothing yet.
I also need to add Laharl-sama from Disgaea. Because he's Laharl-sama. And thus he wins by default.

definatly locke coal is my favorite. coolest thief around always doing the right thing except when it comes to stealing "treasure hunting".
2nd is link. rides horses shoots arrows chops away with his sword and he can work a boomerang pretty good.
I like Kratos from GoW just because of his attitude. However my favorite hero from a game would have to be Cloud. :tongue:

I agree that Yuffie is not a hero/heroine; however, I don't think that the hero/heroine necessarily has to be the main "good guy" in the story. Take Star Wars, for example. Luke doesn't defeat the Emperor. Do most people call Darth Vader a hero? They probably should... I can't really think of any games to back me up on this right now, but I'm sure there are some out there.Quote:

Kratos from God of War, Link from Legend of Zelda, the guy you play as in Shadow of the Colossus, Cloud from FFVII, The Bard from The Bard's Tale, and Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
I like a lot of other heroes but those are by far the deepest, most interesting and/or totally badass and/or classically vailant that I can remember and the Bard is just an awesome wiseass.
