I love being short, except when it's hard to reach things. I'm exactly 5 feet tall. xD People are always teasing me (in a good way) for being short. In this week, people have said:

"Jess, you're a midge!"
"You're freaking SHORT!"
"You're like, (name of my friend's extremely short older sister) short! What are you? 4'11?"
"Aw, you're tiny!"

I think midge was a first this week. I think my favourite short term would be "hobbit." I refer to myself as a hobbit at times. xD

short people are funny. I like to call them midgets (if they're younger than teenaged) and pick them up upside down when they make me mad.

I wouldn't want to be short. I'm too useful because I can reach the school ceiling by standing on a desk, which makes me as useful as a man. My hair touching the top of my car roof is not important.

I'm tall.

Being short had its advantages, like hiding and squeezing into small places, but being tall is better. Commanding presence and all. :p One half of my family is extremely tall, so I'm hoping to reach 6'2" or 6'3" by the time I stop growing, which is like, early twenties for most guys, or something like that.

I'm 5'3", which I don't think is all that short, but I'm friends with a lot of guys, so I get called short a lot. I used to wish I was tall, but I got over that a few years ago, and now I'm okay with the height. I get to make other people get things for me, and that can be fun sometimes. :D I get called Tiny a lot. Teeny Tiny Tina (or this other dumb name >=(

My friends suck.

I'm decently tall for a guy, I suppose. Just around average height. I wouldn't say I get made fun of for it.

This reminds me that I need to find a tape measure.

1) How short are you? - Pretty short. 5'2, But I wear 3" heels to work, so everything thinks I'm taller.

3) What "short" names do they call you?- I haven't met anyone who has the cojones to make fun of me to my face... ;)
4) Do you like being short?- Yeah kinda. I've grown accustomed to it..:)

I's about 5'8", which I believe is average height for my age. I've no qualms about those taller or shorter than me, and I impose no special names for those of a different height.

I absolutely hate being short and would kill anyone to be tall.

My height is a mystery, because I'm not always the same height when I'm measured. But I'm never any shorter than 5"4, an no taller than 5"6. I think I'm 5"4 because I'm working on worse case scenario. I want to be 5"7, but apparently you stop growing at 21, so I haven't got long to make it! Fortunately everyone is under the impression I'm really tall. Although because people go on about how tall I am, I eventually have to reveal I'm actually not, :( because I figure they'll find out one day anyway, an then they'd think me a cheap fraud. They usually refuse to believe me, an then they measure me, or stand me next to random people to see how I compare. I think I must be some sort of optical illusion.

I am very sensitive about it, the other day at my school some tall dude
bumped into me hard and I said "Hey look down from time to time"
He just said "Watch out baby boy"................BABY BOY!!!!!!!
I jumped on his knee cap and decked him in the face!!!!
I got suspended and I got hurt in the process, but.....no it was really dumb : (

I'm 5"7 I think that is short.....for me anyway.

I'm 5"11 for a 15 year old. Dunno if thats tall or short. I'm at least going to be 6 something at the end of highschool. I dunno, am I tall or short?

Im 6' even, and i dont really call short people names or anything like that, but if they annoy me i pick them up and move them elsewhere.

I don't know if I am short. I am 13 and I am 5'2-5'3. (Judging by the last time I was measured which was a year and a half ago. I might just be 5'4 or 5'5 now, but I highly doubt it.)

No, I don't. Wearing heels helps, but still brings me up to only 5'4" or 5'5" if I'm lucky. The only good thing about being short is that you don't get to see all of the dust on top of people's furniture.

It was only last year I shot up to what I am now.
I remember a year ago when I was constantly measuring how tall I was desperate to be 4ft.9

Height is a pretty funny thing. For example, when I'm in the Philippines I'm always the tallest person around, but when I return to Denmark, I'm the shortest. I'm like 5'9".

4) Do you like being short? Hells yeah. I don't like being called Shorty or Midget though. I am over 4 ft 9in, therefore, I am not a midget. That is a fact everyone should be required to know. But I bully back people who call me short, so It doesn't usually last to long except with close friends.

Most of my friends are asian like me so I'm of a medium height compared to most of them but compared to the typical Aussie, I'm in fact, just a little short. But at 5' 6", I'm going to tackle the second field of questions.

1) Do you like short people? This girl I like right now is a little short. She's so cute ;)
2) What type of "short" names do you use on short people? I usually just bestow a cute little suffix to the end of their name or find some other way to make their name sound cute. Phoebe -> Fee. Dzung -> Dzungy. But quite often, a little pat on head is enough to satisfy me.

4) Do you want to be short? Nah. This is a good height for me.

I'm quite tall i suppose.... about 6 ft.... I don't mind short people but midgets (excuse the phrase) kinda freak me out a bit (no offense meant) i'd like to be a few inches shorter...

btw if you're still holding out hope to get taller... I'm pretty sure i read that Tim Duncan grew 8 inches while in college.

I'm about 5"5. I'd like to grow more because it's terrifying when I see kids two years younger than me tower over me -- it makes me feel like a little old lady and I'm NOT! :( I'm not a little old lady!

I like short people, yes. I used to call them midgets but now I call them "vertically challenged" because clearly, political correctness is the only way to go. :p

Eh, I don't mind. The only time it bugs me is when I can't get stuff off of shelves, or when I can't see over people at concerts.

When I went to move out of college residence, me and my 5'2" roommate missed packing/cleaning everything in the room above a 5'5" plane unintentionally. Some taller male friends of ours came in and reminded us of just how very short we were.
